For Gonzaga to prevail, he had to get Carwin on the ground
March 8th, 2009 at 3:33 pm
gonzaga is too inconsistant ,he would stand much better chance if he sticks to what appears his best ,kicks ground ,game

Gonzaga was able to get Carwin on his back which is quite a task. Carwin vs. Lesnar is looking like a nice prospective HW match

You don’t think Mir can hang with Lesnar?

While Joe Rogan making a lengthy comment on how impressive fighter Gonzaga was, Poof! Gonzaga got knocked out cold!! What a shame not only for Gonzaga but for Joe who didn’t had not even given Carwin a fair comment.
Wake up Joe Rogan!! It’s MMA and anything can happen here baby!!

mans try to be smart please, that is just a lucky pounch, anything else.
August 20th, 2009 at 1:08 pm
That was a lucky punch. Carwin was in a lot of trouble. He showed good recovery though.
August 20th, 2009 at 11:25 pm
Lucky Punch? He threw a shot at his face, Gonz went down, that is the way it works luck or none. Carwin did what he went there to do.

Gonzaga has never been iced with just one punch before. Carwin only threw a straight right, but right on the chin which shows excellent punch placement. What’s scary is how much power Shane has behind his enormous hands, which are the only hands bigger than Lesnar’s in MMA. Carwin is still a work in progress, but it seems that if he lands a punch anywhere near his oponent’s head = IT’S OVER!!! Watch out Lesnar because I haven’t seen any punching power behind your big hands yet!!!

Looking forward to hopefully Carwin knocking out Lesnar in Nov! More importantly, I hope the pay per view $$ are much less because of Lesnar on the ticket. Lesnar needs to learn respect for his opponents, win or lose! I want to see Carwin take Lesnar to the ground. Probably wont happen, but would love to see it.

im not impressed by carwin in any of his fights to be honest with u. i hope he beats lesnar but i seriously doubt it,and fedor would beat the shit out of him!!!!

There are no “lucky” punches. You throw, you connect, you succeed. Whether it happens while you’re in control or not makes no difference.
