great fight, classic striker versus grappler. Guillard is so quick, if he put together some better combo’s, anticipating where the other guy is going to move his head from the punch he just threw, he would have a better chance of KO, not to say he didn’t have some nice strikes in this fight, but they weren’t put together as well as Ive seen him before. Great fight both guys,

how many time did torres put guillard on the mat??how about the cage control??sorry but i really disagree with the judges..it should be unanimous decision for torres..i guess its all about the shouting from guillard that made the difference..

He put him on the mat a bunch of times but had very little offense on the ground: only one threatening submission attempt and a small amount of ground & pound. Meanwhile Guillard was clearly landing the more effective strikes while standing up, and did a good job of keeping the fight standing for a substantial amount of time — Torres wasn’t able to keep the fight constantly on the mat. I scored Round 1 10-10 and Rounds 2 and 3 10-9 for Guillard.

Nothing against Guillard, but Torres won that fight. You are all aware of how it is not a good idea to leave it in the Judges’ hands.
That was WEC Featherweight Champion, Jose Aldo in Torres’ corner.
Guillard showed improvement over his past fights, but he had no answer for Torres’ takedowns for a while. He managed to avoid some of them, but not enough.
