WAR Machida!!!
May 23rd, 2009 at 9:50 pm
awe inspiring
May 23rd, 2009 at 10:48 pm
WOW! Really his striking is just deadly. He’s so fast and precise with his hands it’s ridiculous. A worthy champion no doubt.
May 23rd, 2009 at 11:12 pm
I think Rashad hit him only twice. That says alot about Machida’s defense
May 24th, 2009 at 12:20 am
where have u mma fans been for 3-5 years machida has been dominating his opponents without being basically touched with a masterfull mix of the original martial art of karate mixed with wrestling and mui tai good luck joel silva and dana white finding a worthy opponent for lyoto his style of fighting is hard to prepare for his game, which is based on the samurai way of defensive counterstrikes while evading a razor sharp sword which could kill u with one strike thats why his defense is impeccable
May 24th, 2009 at 4:07 am
Os Brasileiros, são os melhores, mesmo sem patrocínio e estimulo, eles dominam o mundo do vale-tudo … parabéns brasúcas !!!!
May 24th, 2009 at 4:39 am
I’m so happy Lyoto won. I feel that Rashad could of done much better though. He seemed intimidated from the very beginning probably due to alot of predictions favoring Lyoto. I mean i knew Lyoto would win but he dominated the fight.
May 24th, 2009 at 5:10 am
I am glad Machida beat Evans, especially via knock out. I think evans is a disrespectful fighter, showed a lack of sportsmanship against Griffin, and deserved to not just lose, but to be knocked out.
May 24th, 2009 at 7:47 am
what’s up with these damn pop ups
May 24th, 2009 at 9:46 am
Congrats to Machida!! He made Rashad look like a child to be honest. If that’s how this division will be then Machida has a good chances to hold a belt for awhile. I would love to see Anderson Silva vs Machida down the road
May 24th, 2009 at 11:23 am
heyy I wana see the interview with rogan!!!! Karate is back!!!
May 24th, 2009 at 11:41 am
Russ, ya Anderson vs. Machida would be good but they are training partners. Not only that, but they are both counter strikers so i don’t know if there would be a lot of fireworks
May 24th, 2009 at 3:08 pm
Hahahahahah Aww man i could watch this ko over and over again…. deep in my heart i knew machida would win but got dam evans got his ass handed to him. i like evans he was the one i wanted to win cause i wanted to see him and rampage go at it… i been wanting to see that fight for a long time…. but then lyoto comes to the top of the ranks and BAMM BAAM BAAM duc look out evans..OO DAM never mind he’s ko’ed lmao. but really much love to lyoto i kinda fell he’s on a spider silva level but only time will tell.
May 24th, 2009 at 10:18 pm
Woohoo! Really respected Machida since he smashed Thiago Silva..
I feel sorry for his next opponent./.
May 25th, 2009 at 3:07 am
The dragon is Champion! lmao! go machida!
May 25th, 2009 at 4:26 am
O cinturão é Pra pra poucos, e Lyoto é mais um merecedor.
Belém / Pará / Brazil
May 25th, 2009 at 7:30 am
Just watched it again and I liked how Machida switched to orthodox when Rashad switched to Southpaw. It seems like Machida is ready for both situations
May 25th, 2009 at 12:46 pm
MACHIDA & FEDOR ARE THE TWO BADDEST MEN ON THE PLANET. NO ONE IS GONNA TOUCH THEM FOR A LONG/LONG TIME, WAY TO HANDLE YOUR BUSINESS LYOTO!!!!!!!!!!
May 25th, 2009 at 4:38 pm
machida dominated that fight no doubt however i think if rashad had the confidence to strike it could’ve been closer. Rashad never really got into the fight, Machida just overwhelmed him from the get go. machida for the fight he wanted to whereas Rashad was just falling for his trap. im not sure who can actually take machida in the future. i think machida will win against anderson S, jackson, shogun, forrest.
May 25th, 2009 at 4:51 pm
Ele é o melhor!!!!! É brasileiro e os gringos pagam pau……
May 25th, 2009 at 5:09 pm
it’s exciting to see someone so good and so different.
interesting opponents would be forestt with exfellent reach and kicks.
and someone who would close the distance, and or someone that would catch a kick, and grab a leg. rogan is right about this style not telegraphing as much as other styles though. i think shogun could finish machida standing, clinching or on the mat, if he ever gets in shape again. the liddell fight didn’t last long enough for that. shogun forest should fight winner of rampage/machida?
May 25th, 2009 at 5:15 pm
rampage has quite a chin and some good orthodox boxing of late. not sure how he’ll close the distance against lyoto, as he lost a slim decision to forestt largely because of those long kicking legs. this jones dude would be a cool match up too. fedor would kill lyoto if they ever fought as he’s smart enough to eventually get in close (and has amazing recovery time). once it gets in close the GnP with the weight and strength would be too much. i think lyoto would beat brock though
May 26th, 2009 at 4:43 am
Machida destroyed that cocky prick.I hope rashad gets KTFO against rampage so he can be hubmle for a change.Machida is a force, nobody will beat him tho rampage and shogun have a chance.
Machida:”Rashad can’t defend my style, no one can!!
ERnesto Hoost-”Machida would be absolutely great in k1″
May 26th, 2009 at 6:36 am
i feel ya there charlie. Ive been a fan of Machida since his UFC Debut. Now all these bandwagon fans are jumping on Machidas nutts. Now when it gives us actual Machida fans a bad rep. If Rashad had KOed him most of these people would of been on Rashads nutts. I hate Bandwagon fans.
May 26th, 2009 at 6:37 am
dat guy got dropped
May 26th, 2009 at 9:24 am
Ok well for the ppl here who are saying that there are gonna be a bunch of “Bandwagon” Machida fans. Of course there are. What is the reason for you becoming a fan in the first place? Because that person gives you a reason to. I Hate Rashad and having Machida KO him was the best outcome of the year so far. So i am now a Machida fan, but when he fights Rampage sometime this fall, I cant say ill be routing for him.
May 26th, 2009 at 11:35 am
KARATE IS BACK!
Well done Machida, you are a true Champion.
May 26th, 2009 at 1:21 pm
Ever since watching Evans on the Ultimate Fighter reality show I have disliked him. He is, was and always will be JIVE. I have been waiting for someone to show him where the bear……! Thank you Machida.
May 26th, 2009 at 2:42 pm
machida makes me tired, i need a nap after his fights, he sits back and throws a few kicks and punches, whooohoo i just spent 50 bucks to see 11 strikes, my grandma is more entertaining
May 26th, 2009 at 3:09 pm
I feel that Rashad is a stonger fighter but his gameplan was poor for this fight. He should have used his strength in wrestling to take this guy down. I’m upset that he went toe to toe with this stryker who specializes in crippling leg kicks. Sad day for the Spartan.
May 26th, 2009 at 7:05 pm
Rampage is gonna get raped and Shogun would spend 5 rounds trying to catch Machida. So its best all those bandwagon jumpers to get on Rampages while you still can cus seeing how Rashad got his face MASHED you won’t see Machida get scuffed by the stiff stance of rampage and even shogun to a degree.
@ Erik, dude what the hell are you on, who wants to see brawlers punching the air wishing for a knockout. Machida imo is like the most exciting to watch as you never know what he is going to do next as his style is unpredictable and his punches are just so damn accurate.
Rashad, you can sit the f#4k down now, Machida just pawned you.
May 26th, 2009 at 8:20 pm
I think it’s time to see a Machida-Anderson Silva match. There’s no one else for either of them!
May 27th, 2009 at 10:12 am
Machida may just be the luckiest fighter on the planet to get as far as he has with that bogus karate style. yea i”d like to see the spider wipe the floor with him, but give the real 1 contender his shot first, and watch rampage actually connect with big power that he has yet to feel. Memphis represent!
May 27th, 2009 at 4:40 pm
ya who think rashad got what was coming to him ya r all haters n if he is that weak ya fight him if not shut up and if this was that easy everybody would do it and why is it that ya think when a blk man showboats it is wrong but when chuck was doin his thing it was all good I have been tellin all my buddies that ya hate that the belt was held by blk men but get use to it ha ha
May 30th, 2009 at 4:00 pm
boy isn’t it great when people come on to these sites and ramble on in run-on sentences with no punctuation and bad grammar I really hate that and wouldn’t it be great if they could spell correctly too instead of making all kinds of ignorant statements that just make them look like jackasses and wouldn’t it be even better if sites like this had filters that would just automatically fix everything and then maybe all these armchair fighters wouldn’t need to go back to school and learn how to write correctly and hey I’m no expert but every fighter has his nemesis and machida and silva will eventually meet theirs the growth of the sport is too rapid now and there will always be someone out there that is better yes fedor silva and machida have skill sets that are better than those that came before them but they too will be surpassed it’s only a matter of time hey don’t you love reading a post that’s written this way ha it really works the brain to decipher where on sentence ends and the next begins wow I wonder what it would be like to talk to a person who talks the way they write if they write this way huh must be like talking to a robot
May 30th, 2009 at 4:00 pm
I join in admiration of the new Light-Heavyweight Champion,Machida!
May 30th, 2009 at 4:06 pm
and look at me even making my own mistakes I meant to write “onto” and “one” so no I’m not a hypocrite they were just typos not due to straight-up dumbass disease but I guess some just can’t help it anyway machida is very very good but people talk like he will never be beaten sorry folks not gonna happen he will lose eventually the growth curve in MMA is rapid and someone will figure him out and soon so don’t get your hopes up too high about years-long reigns it’s not likely to happen boy see how annoying it is to have to read this way
May 30th, 2009 at 4:22 pm
and hey mont there’s nothing wrong with celebrating victory but there’s a huge difference between gamesmanship and arrogance talking smack in the ring during the fight and taunting it is UNSPORTSMANLIKE big difference there son has nil to do with white and black it’s called CLASS the only problem I have with it is it makes a fighter look like a punk-ass biotch when he runs his trap and then gets KTFO humiliating embarrassing come-uppance who wants to set themselves up for that so doing it just makes a fighter look like a chump on national TV like that idiot from this season of TUF little punk ran his trap peacocking all over the place and got his ass sent home happens every time so it’s better to just keep it quiet and prove your point with action not words if you’re the greatest prove it with your skills and keep the flapper zipped and leave the schoolyard antics at home that’s what I say and now for the third time it’s even annoying to write this way…so I think I’ll stop.
May 30th, 2009 at 4:28 pm
Hey…maybe if someone taught Bruce “Space Invader” Bowen how to fight, he could catch Machida…nobody gets away from that guy. LOL
May 31st, 2009 at 10:22 pm
Shut up Charles!

lyoto has never lost a round in the UFC thats crazy
June 2nd, 2009 at 12:43 pm
What a fight. What a champ. This guy is the real deal. I hope Lyoto keeps his belt for a long time. What a class act.
Free of charge, one year from now Joe Rogan won’t be with the UFC. Don’t know where he’s going to fall but he will.
June 2nd, 2009 at 5:40 pm
esta bueno el video , ojala que para los proximos combates puedan mostrar el video el mismo dia que se realiza gracias Y hasta la proxima……BYE
June 3rd, 2009 at 1:18 pm
Im glad Machida entered MMA and is dominating, hopefully this will enlighten all the know it all MA newbies. I wouldnt call his style unorthadox either, because it is a style. I would consider unorthadox more like a street fighter throwing rainbow punches which had not been practiced, yet karate punches are not what MMA is used to so from that point of view I guess we could call it not the norm.
June 6th, 2009 at 6:42 am
Although i’m a Evans fan since the first time I saw him on the ultimate fighter, this win was amazing. Like everyone else is saying here…evans didn’t even touch the guy. A true champion, and a UFC-hall of famer in the making, no doubt.
Last little comment: I know that a lot of people feel that Evans is a Showboater(don’t know how it’s spelled) i personaly think that it’s just his style… I think he does it to confuse his opponents. But i respect the oppinion of others! I was getting pissed too during the Griffin fight, but evans is still a true Ultimate Fighter…Ask Chuck Liddell
June 7th, 2009 at 8:30 pm
THANK U MACHIDA!!!i hate that little evans fag..he thinks he is the greatest EVER….
June 10th, 2009 at 7:23 pm
June 14th, 2009 at 8:22 am
machida is da bomb shit no one is gonna touch him not rampage not silva not liddel not fedor no one got da skill dat dis brazilian great has Machida is #1

July 26th, 2009 at 2:49 pm
YO LYOTO IS MA FAVORITE FIGHTER<< BUT!!!! THERES TALK ABOUT BRANDON VERA GUNNA CHALLENGE HIM FOR THE TITLE AND IF U WATCHED HIM FIGHT HE BEET 3 PEOPLE IN A ROW!AND I MEAN ALL IN THE SAME DAY!!!! INCLUDING FRANK MIR!! I THINK THAT WOULD B A GOOD FIGHT. BRANDON VERA VS LYOTO MACHIDA. THERES NO DOUBT I THINK LYOTO WILL KILL HIM< BUT I REALLY WANNA SEE THAT FIGHT.!! LOOK FOR BRANDON VERA. HES A HEAVYWEIGHT NOW AND HES 9-0 I BELIEVE
…OPINIONS??
August 4th, 2009 at 1:08 pm
MAN I WANNA WATCH THE DAM FIGHT. THIS SHITS NOT WORKING. LYOTO IS THE SHIT ANYWAY BUT I JUST WANNA SEE HIM KICK EVANS ASS.
August 4th, 2009 at 1:15 pm
BRANDON VERA WILL GET EMBARASSED. HES PRETTY GOOD BUT NO WHERE IN MACHIDAS LEVEL.I HONESTLY FEEL BAD FOR WHOEVER HIS NEXT OPPONENT IS. I THINK THE BEST FIGHT THAT UFC CAN MAKE RIGHT NOW IS ANDERSON SILVA VS LYOTO MACHIDA IF ANDERSON CAN TAKE OUT GRIFFIN, MACHIDA VS SILVA WOULD BE A DREAM FIGHT.NOW THATS A FIGHT I WOULDNT WANNA BET ON.
August 4th, 2009 at 1:53 pm
stuckz,
Are you still not able to see the video? It works fine for me here. Sometimes you just have to let it load a little bit.
August 17th, 2009 at 12:35 pm
anderson silva will destroy them both.
August 22nd, 2009 at 7:28 pm
o cara é fodastico…
August 28th, 2009 at 1:38 pm
In a recent interview, Anderson said he wouldn´t fight Lyoto as they are training partners and very good friends, is that so? or Is Anderson just too scared to get hiss kicked???
August 30th, 2009 at 3:17 pm
This was a boring ass fight..omg..i would be mad if i paid to see this bull-shit..no action barley any blood…damn i though was in fer a show..fukk this…lol
October 3rd, 2009 at 12:20 pm
JEREMYCUAS you were watching ufc unleashed a replay show those fights were not in the same day and were at heavyweight. Vera went 3-3 since then with the 2 consecutive wins but to nobodies. 10-3 overall
October 18th, 2009 at 2:12 pm
omg. Lyoto, you’re a beast!
October 20th, 2009 at 7:40 am
Perfect Display of patience, technique and discipline by the dragon. Waited for his oppurtunities and took advantage, and destroyed Rashad. Im sick of all these assholes wanting to see nothing but blood, and brawling, in my opinion its not worth getting knocked out just to entertain ignorant people…
welcome to the Machida Era Bitches!!!
