Video is cutting off @ 20:00. Bummer.
October 25th, 2009 at 4:26 am
C’mon UFC, learn how to post a video that downloads in less time than the fight takes and doesn’t cut off in the middle . . . sheeesh!
October 25th, 2009 at 7:34 am
the video is cutting off at like 10 seconds….thanks
October 25th, 2009 at 9:10 am
Shogun should of deffinatley won in my opinion. He was landing consistent blows while Lyoto was hiting short bursts. Im really disapointed how the judges scored it but he should be happy no matter how they scored it.

Did you guys notice how silent Joe Rogan was? Man, not sure how the judges scored that but Shogun looked to have landed more shots. I guess for aggression and octagon control went to Lyoto but still that is kind of debatable and no way should it be unanimous decision on that.
October 25th, 2009 at 9:53 am
SHOGUN WAS ROBBED!!!
October 25th, 2009 at 10:24 am
Shogun got robbed. It is said that they gave Machida that fight when he was not the aggressor and Shogun clearly punished Machida’s legs. This fight will hurt the UFC because it starting to show a sign of fight fixing, which has eventually hurt boxing.
October 25th, 2009 at 10:25 am
shogun won.
October 25th, 2009 at 10:28 am
Shame on this cheating. At some point during fight i already got the feeling one of the commentators knew what would happen… Bravo Shogun you are in ouer Hearts !
October 25th, 2009 at 10:37 am
Sorry but, you CANT win a decision in a CHAMPIONSHIP fight against the CHAMPION just by landing leg kicks. The rounds were too close for that to play a factor. Shogun threw more than he landed, whereas Lyoto might have thrown less but, landed more of what he threw.
Maybe in a regular non-championship bout would shogun have won in this manner. but Championship fights are different. Challengers must win by a Large margin.
October 25th, 2009 at 11:07 am
one of the commentators already knew the result during fight
Shame on the initiators of this bet rigging
October 25th, 2009 at 11:08 am
rounds are scored individually and shogun clearly won more rounds than machida… at the end of the fight they would have still scored it the same, title fight or not and there`s no reason to take a round from a fighter and give it to the champion because he`s the champion lol. retarded logic… the judges just didn`t score the leg kicks as damaging blows for whatever reason, machida stopped throwing all together at one point and shogun was the only one landing.
October 25th, 2009 at 11:27 am
“just by landing leg kicks” is really very stupid. IT is the main “weakness” of Machida having a position where his leg is more vulnerable.
Shogun showed perfect strategy and should have won.
But in sports like this one cheating is a commen thing.
It is like it is , maybe someone punish these Cheaters somehow.
October 25th, 2009 at 11:33 am
SHOGUN RUA is the TRUE CHAMP
CHEATING is commen in Sports
October 25th, 2009 at 11:53 am
Oh… that was unfair ;/
“Karate-Kid” “Dragon” it is good advertisment. Machida lost that fight.
Shogun should win this. This is business not just fighters
October 25th, 2009 at 12:15 pm
sorry guys i lost a lot money with rashad this time i really wanted to win dont get mad its just entertainment
October 25th, 2009 at 12:22 pm
sorry guys dont get mad but i lost lot MONEY with Rashad so this time i really wanted to win. Soon u forget about it
October 25th, 2009 at 1:42 pm
Machida won rounds 1-2-3. Shogun 4-5
Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg are clearly looking for Shogun’s body kicks and not Machida’s left hands that are also answering at the same time.
Shogun was bringing the leg kicks again, but Machida was more accurate.
October 25th, 2009 at 1:43 pm
B***S***! WTF! Lyoto “PUSSY” Machida won!LOOOL!Boxing, Soccer, whats next in cheatin,? american football!lool!cant believe it!so sorry for shogun!you win and everyone knows it,but the belt goes to the LOOSER!!lol i think i dont watch UFC anymore!its only all about money, tv rights, rematches, ect!fuck dana and fuck hole ufc
October 25th, 2009 at 1:43 pm
I can see how it could be judged that way. It’s amazing that all three judges saw it the same way.
October 25th, 2009 at 3:00 pm
BS call…. Shogun won that fight! Im so sick of this bs . It’s gonna cause the end to this sport! Dana needs to start looking for a new job…Maybe soap operas are his new forte.
October 25th, 2009 at 3:13 pm
No way…
I´m afraid that for all MMA fans& fighters the whole UFC has lost all the credibility with this decision.
This kind of stuff pisses me off. We expected a lot more of objetivity on judges decisions.
October 25th, 2009 at 5:07 pm
it was a close enough fight that it could’ve gone either way. shogun looked fresher at the end and landed great leg kicks, but machida landed a better variety of strikes, and was effective and accurate especially with the knees and straight left hand. i felt that shogun won, but he wasn’t robbed. it wasn’t a dominating performance; it was a close fight. it seems to be an unspoken rule that to get a decision in a title fight you have to dominate the champion and lyoto wasn’t dominated or truly beaten. shogun is a tougher fighter and so his face and body don’t show the damage as much as lyoto, but i think both fighters did enough where an argument for their victory could be me made. there should be a rematch and i certainly don’t think lyoto deserved any booes.
October 25th, 2009 at 5:17 pm
Wow Dana White is ridiculous for this one.. If you have any kind of observation skills whatsoever, go to the end of the fight and look at the expression on Lyoto’s face, it says it all.. He was a beaten fighter and he knew it, you can’t hide that emotion and it was shown clearly.. Shogun won this fight at worst 3 rounds to 2, and that is pushing it! I wish there was a way that the fans could retaliate toward Dana White for having us spend money to watch the championship fight only to have it judged unfairly for whatever underlying reasons White has. This is ridiculous, fans please keep complaining, maybe enough will help save the integrity of the UFC!
October 25th, 2009 at 5:28 pm
I like how Machida lands a fury of punches and then Shogun lands one right and Joe Rogan is like “OH MY GOD DID YOU SEE THAT SHOGUN IS MY HERO.” You should try watching the fight without Joe’s Shogun nut hugging opinions in there, I’m not so sure Rua dominated the fight.
October 25th, 2009 at 5:41 pm
One thing really irks me is Joe Rogan and his sidekick always talking about how Shogun this and Shogun that. One must believe Shogun is the Champ and he wins all five rounds, since although these guys state Machida is definitely trying to strike to take out his opponent (knock out strikes) yet Shogun is landing the harder strikes. Which is it, Joe? If I were throwing the KO strikes, and the other is not, how can the other land harder punches? Joe and sidekick are so biased. All they say is how Shogun is winning each round and how Shogun landed a kick or landed a strike, yet hardly a word comes out about what Machida is doing. Next time, have unbiased commentators in this. Hearing Rogan only makes me angrier, because I must be watching another fight. I see either even rounds or Machida winning. Of course, just like Rogan, I have my perferrence. Only mine is for the champion, Machida. And “Look at all the red on Machida’s legs and stomach!” One small area on the stomach as opposed to the whole front of Shogun’s stomach. Much larger patch. I don’t care, Machida won. Shogun did a fine job, but Machida still won on the Judges’ cards. That is all that matters. Dana White can’t give the outcome, either. They talked a lot of trash during the post fight press conference, up until Machida joined in. Sickening.
I don’t care if anyone else likes Shogun more and therefore chose Shogun to win. He didn’t. You are not a judge, so don’t talk like you are. Leave it alone, and wait for the rematch. Until then, accept the fact that all three judges chose Machida as the victor. Bottom line. If anyone chooses to talk trash to me, oh well. Machida won, so talk all the trash you want. Your guy still lost.
October 25th, 2009 at 5:42 pm
hey who ever says shogun got robbed .watch the fight without sound..than u can c that machida won the fight.i watched it 4 5 times watching it very close.first i had some doubt about it but than second and third time ,it was clear that machida won the fight ……PLS WATCH IT AGAIN..THAN U ILL C .
October 25th, 2009 at 5:43 pm
the 1st round could be good talk about how difference is the ways of fight…the 2nd round may be other one deal, for talk about how much kicks, punch…etc…but, Oh my god!!!, but the 3th, no way!!!….is so boring….almost I slept, NO ACTION, NO BLOOD, NOTHING..FUCK!!!
I think both figthers, they had to lose for a bad show.
October 25th, 2009 at 5:51 pm
WATCH THIS FIGHT IN MUTE OR JAPANESE VERSION> MACHIDA CLEARLY WON!
Okay first and foremost, I take back what I said about “Shogun being robbed” and “Shogun winning this fight”.
After watching this fight WITHOUT Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg’s overly exaggerated commentating the fight really told a difference story. It told me that Machida actually controlled this fight from rounds 1-4, with Round 5 going to Shogun.
The leg kicks that were overly emphasized by Joe Rogan told me that the leg kicks really took a major toll on Lyoto Machida and that Shogun controlled the fight because of these kicks. HOWEVER, after seeing this, minus Joe’s overly dramatized groaning I noticed Lyoto was actually almost unphased by the kicks that Shogun was landing and maintained his composure and throughout the fight landing kicks of his own, on top of brutal knees that clearly hurt Shogun, and a flurry of punches, even staggering Shogun and sending him stumbling back several times.
Furthermore, when Shogun pushed forward and tried to land with his flurry of punches, not a single one landed. The only real times Shogun landed were when he got Lyoto in close and grappling.
Based on points, Lyoto Machida did win this fight, and clearly so. I’m disappointed at Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg’s commentating because all they did was stir up controversy where there was none to be had.
I would love to see a rematch between the two, because even though Lyoto Machida did win this fight, there were still a lot of fans of either fighter not convinced enough about a clear winner.
October 25th, 2009 at 5:52 pm
I’m sorry, but Machida won this fight. It’s the same thing with Akiyama back in UFC 100, Joe Rogan runs his mouth a certain way and convinces the TV audience that one of the fighters is being dominated… Seriously, watch it with the sound off…
October 25th, 2009 at 5:54 pm
I think Joe should seriously be spoken to by Dana… There is a certain responsibility to reading a fight properly if you are going to commentate.

Copy and Paste fools!
Machida won!
I would even say he won round 1,2,3,+4
October 25th, 2009 at 5:57 pm
Joe Grogan a condom the next time he watches Shogun fight.
Shoguns needs more than leg kicks if he wants to win.

October 25th, 2009 at 6:14 pm
I think it should have been a split dec or a draw.
October 25th, 2009 at 6:27 pm
If shogun had laid off the kicks and used more punches it could have changed the judges mind.
October 25th, 2009 at 6:30 pm
There will be a rematch and next time maybe shogun should press the take down a little more. Im sure he can take him down 1 out of 3 attempts. But that would be the only way he could be machida.
October 25th, 2009 at 6:47 pm
Wow, a lot of these comments are immature and just plain embarrassing. Shogun lost guys, get over it. Saying that their was cheating and the fight was rigged is a straight up joke. The ufc has nothing to gain from fixing fights and everything to lose, so quit making urself look bad. Good fight tho, machida’s legs are gonna be sore for weeks!
October 25th, 2009 at 7:07 pm
I first watched the fight with the commentators on and I thought that the fight was close. The commentators made me think that “Shogun” was the winner. Joe and Mike were getting wet over “Shogun”.
The second time I watched the fight with no sound. Clearly “The Dragon” was the winner. The Dragon was landing punches, knees and kicks. He was more aggressive. All the “Shogun” did was kick the whole fight.
I wanted to see a knock out or submission.
October 25th, 2009 at 7:09 pm
Shogun overused the leg kicks. He needed to press the issue to at least attempt a dominance via knockout.
How would you judge a fight if Shogun punched Machida’s arms all day? It would look outright silly. Same goes with the leg kicks. No killer instinct. You want to give Shogun the championship based on that? Silly!
October 25th, 2009 at 9:21 pm
I live in Brasil and I watched it in PPV here.
Our narrators are F-ing terrible, but they are brasilian and Lyoto fans.
I had no “Joe Rogan” bias, and I can say Shogun won that fight. At the end, before the announcement, Machida’s head was hanging low. He was a beaten fighter indeed. The crowd that was cheering for him was booing him. Shogun got there as the ‘lol another easy fight for Machida’ and ended up cheered by everyone in the place.
Not only that, Shogun also had a LOT of personality at the Press Conference. He stated clearly “In my opinion, I won.”, while Machida decided to go with “The judges decided.”, when asked about his own opinion. Honor? Bushido? Karate? Machida was completely torn in all aspects. A shame.
October 25th, 2009 at 9:24 pm
why is everyone in every message board blaming Dana White? lol, he didn’t decide who won, blame the judges. the judges DO NOT work for the UFC in any way shape or form, nor do the referees. for this fight and the Cain fight people act like Dana was in there and called a stop to the Cain fight, and as if at the end of the shogan/machida fight they say, “Dana… who won?” and Dana White makes the decision. he’s just a promoter, and he does a great job of promoting, he doesn’t assign the refs or the judges, they’re completely independent of the UFC. be mad, but blame the right people.
October 25th, 2009 at 9:32 pm
to continue with that point, people in every board are saying everyone should boycott the ufc… lol, again, they don’t have anything to do with how the fights are called, they just put on the best matches with the best fighters.
referee steve mazzagatti, who everyone is shitting on for how he called the cain fight, also refs in Dream and Strikeforce because he’s assigned by the State Athletic Commissions. same as Herb Dean. if you boycott the UFC for bad calls you might as well boycott every MMA organization because they use the exact same refs and judges as assigned by the State Commissions.
October 25th, 2009 at 10:13 pm
you know what i realized when i watched this fight? the same thing that hopefully a lot of you will think about….this fight was really boreing i mean for a champion with all his hype and shogun with all his hype…this fight sucked compared to what everyone says these fighters can do. leg kicks and a few punches the rest was blocked and dodged…oh and dana white says clearly, and its known to all the fighters if you dont want to lose via a decision submit or knock out your oponet dont complain.
October 25th, 2009 at 10:18 pm
i watched the jap version machida won all the matches except 5 damn that stupid mike goldberg i wish machida would axe kick his skull in =)
October 25th, 2009 at 11:57 pm
BULL! I watched 3 times, one with sound, twice with no sound, i DO agree that Shogun used to many leg kicks! after round 3 Machidas legs were DEAD, SHOGUN’S corner should have told him to go in for the take down or attack his head, they were content by worrying about decision.
As far as Machida….disappointment!! his frequency of attacks was LOW, he was tired since late round 2 and lost his bounce to his legs so he was very FLAT and immobilized. You can even see when they clinch for a quick second, he did not do his normal knees to the body because 1. he was DESPERATELY trying to AVOID getting hit in his body anymore so he did not fight his gameplan after round 1 AT ALL.
I say I would give it to SHOGUN:
1. He made the big bad champion UNABLE to follow his game plan after the first round
2. He was virtually un touched or hurt in the whole fight besides like one knee, he stayed fresh, he was semi aggresive and he COMPLETELY disabled the champion.
3. He landed more strikes and did more damage(in my opinion)
4. NEVER NEVER NEVER have i seen a Boxer or MMA fighter in his prime have his head hung low at decision time to indicate he was unsure if he won or not, that’s a BIG indication of how the fight TRULY went no matter who the commenter is.
5. on the opposite end, it is true though that you must be more dominant or knock the champ out to take his belt, im a big boxing and mma fan. It has been done before by decision but, on average whether they cheat or not, if it is close, it seems to ALWAYS be scored by the judges where the champion has a 1 point advantage over the challenger if no domination or knock down.
I look forward to a rematch, it DEFINITELY HAS TO HAPPEN!!
p.s. did you hear the end of the fight? reason number #101 Machida SHOULD NOT have won is because the other top light heavy weight is next in line to fight the champ. If Machida and Silva vow to NEVER fight each other then what kinda gay ish is that? Where im from and based on my favorite fighters, its an honor to fight your close friend to truly see who wins, at the end of the day the respect and love remains. Ultimate fighter is a business, not a dating center!!
October 26th, 2009 at 12:02 am
I agree with a lot of the Posts regarding Joe Rogan… Machida would hit Shogun with a 3 hit combo Jab-Jab-Leg kick, Cleanly, and Shogun would throw an off balace body kick to defend and Rogan was Like “OMG, did you see Shoguns devastating Body Blow?!” I had to rewatch it with Brazilian commentary to make my Own mind up, as the American version was too bias. But saying that, Shogun fought HARD, and Machida seemed far from his best, Split decision was my initial thought.
October 26th, 2009 at 4:43 am
Like comment 50 says, the judges aren’t provided by dana or the ufc, so how anyone can blame them is ridiculous. I thought it was a close fight, but imo shogun should have got the win./
October 26th, 2009 at 7:02 am
You know whats funny, people say you cant win by decision with leg kicks, watch the forrest griffin and rampage fight and see who won that, with leg kicks
October 26th, 2009 at 8:32 am
shogun dominated all five rounds and inflicted more damage on machida than vice versa. All this bullshit about joe rogan is retarded. Shogun won.
October 26th, 2009 at 9:08 am
I agree with comment 57. Forrest beat Rampage with only leg kicks. Forrest didn’t beat Rampage, yet he won the title.
The judges were on crack. And those that says Lyoto won if you turn the sound off, needs to get their eyes checked. Even Lyoto knew he should have lost it, his face at the end tells it all.
October 26th, 2009 at 9:27 am
Exactly, the crowd knew it too, they had no joe rogan rambling on about the power of shoguns leg kicks to tell them who won.
October 26th, 2009 at 10:08 am
I think it was closer than Joe made it sound but should have still gone to Shogun, just on agression alone. Thanks for posting the vid, I always watch the ppv but had to miss this one so was great to find it here.
October 26th, 2009 at 10:19 am
OHHHH i forgot about that fight!! Forrest did win with those banging Leg kicks to Rampage and took the title!!! Yeaaaaaah, what are your excuses now since it just happened to Rampage not to long ago?
I hate judges……period, you see how many times Bernard Hopkins has been screwed by them and other fighters in other sports? Shogun knows the business like we do, she in fight #2 he BETTER go for a knock down and/or knock out after round 3 if he can take Machidas legs out again and make him lose all motivation to do any moving.
October 26th, 2009 at 11:47 am
wtf was that dood?
i thought the UFC was legit….
shogun won that fight…. he landed way more shots on him… and he got him with alot of powerfull leg kicks and knee’s….
wut the…. cmon now.
October 26th, 2009 at 11:52 am
Melee, why don’t you try reading other comments first – ufc don’t provide the refs or judges, dana himself said the result was bogus…
October 26th, 2009 at 11:53 am
wtf afcourse u can win a fight with leg kicks, iv seen people get ko’d with leg kicks alone. It dosent matter the bottom line is Rua beat the crap out of machide. Machida was hurt at the end of the fight, he was limping and his face was mesed up and shogun looked fresh. When it comes down to it shogun did more damage. That being said machida has erned my respect those leg kicks looked like they would break a normal person in half, and he took a big right hand to the head early in the fight.
October 26th, 2009 at 12:28 pm
Forrest did alot more that went along with his legkicks: more aggressive and even attempted a submission. his aggression made up for him being knocked down. Shogun simply did not do enough to take the belt. Lyoto was not as immobile as Rampage was so the damage was not as noticable.
This is not MORTAL KOMBAT! whoever has most life in them at the end doesnt win.
-point system(shots to the head and body score better)
lol legkicks are looked at like getting punched in the arms.
-submission
-KO
Shogun did not KO or Submit the champ, so he left the judges to score by points.
During the whole fight…
-How many times did Lyoto get hit in the head? 10 ish
-How many times did Lyoto get hit to the body?(not legs)10 ish
-How many times did Shogun get hit in the head? 13punches 2kicks 1knee
-How many times did Shogun get hit to the body? 10knees 5kicks
– i didnt count how many times lyoto got cleanly kicked in the legs obviously. but if someone wants to get back at me with the numbers, dont forget the ones he missed as well.
i like how Shogun tried to create the illusion with his hand gestures after Lyoto tagged him to make it appear that he was not hit. When he was! Each time Shogun did so, the judges saw the clean shots by Lyoto.
The only reason Lyoto might have looked a bit “down” is because He knew it was a really close fight and that it might have gone either way. It was his toughest fight yet And was upset that his performance was not that great.
BUT its a good thing there are judges to count the points for him.
Its like the person who answers all the questions during the course but when test time comes.. he scores less than guy who stayed quiet. He might have looked convincing to everyone but the teacher keeps track!
October 26th, 2009 at 12:49 pm
i want a video with the intros!!
October 26th, 2009 at 12:59 pm
this makes me think even more than ever that lesnar is on roids and they will fix all his tests to be fine, so he can draw ratings. Dana, if ur gonna fix a fight, at least have the judges score with different numbers than one another hahaha.
October 26th, 2009 at 1:30 pm
Rua won 4/5 rounds, but the judges take it too litteraly : ‘to become a champion, u need to beat the champ’
October 26th, 2009 at 2:29 pm
shogun should be the new champion. He applied more damage, won 4 rounds, had more octagon control, was clearly the agressor, even though he couldnt get a takedown his striking was beautiful way better than machida and was absolutely sick with the countering shots. Giant fail on your parts judges.
October 26th, 2009 at 2:53 pm
You can’t win a champ belt just using leg kicks and being a total failure at any other kind of agression. Rua’s takedown attepts were lame and 75% of his body kicks only existed in Joe Rogan’s mind.
You can’t win a champ belt basing your strategy in a constant Hit-&-run. It doesn’t matter the gestures you make when you get hit or when the fight’s over, that doesn’t give you points (despite it can trick the audience). As some other commentator said, it would be stupid a win based on arms punches…
You don’t deserve a Champ belt if you don’t go for it. It was Lyoto’s hardest fight, true, he’s not used to these kind of situation and that’s why his head was down after the fight. He’s not a cocky fighter but a true warrior that not only wants to win, he wants to lead the fight and win clearly.
IMO, the lack of ambition and variety of attacking took away the fight from Rua, so Lyoto won fairly being the better man, no matter who can get pissed off about this.
October 26th, 2009 at 3:23 pm
I heard one of these comments say Lyoto had “ring control”, maybe he didn’t watch the fight. Rua had him backing up the entire match. Lyoto didn’t land anything significant, and Rua answered everything that left Lyoto’s hands…. I With the Forrest fight, and now with this crap I’m leaning more and more like UFC is more like WWE…. its all about money and bets. Either way Rua won this pure and simple. It wasn’t even close.
October 26th, 2009 at 3:26 pm
SHOGUNS’s KICKS….
Round 1: landed 6 out of 13 (missed 7 kicks) 1 of them was to the body
1 of the 4 was to the body!
R2: Landed 5 out of 14 (missed 9) 1 of the 5 was to the body
R3: Landed 7 out of 16 (missed 9 again) 2 of 7 were to the body
R4: landed 7 out of 14 (missed another 7) 1 of 7 was to the body
R5: landed 4 out of 12! (missed
-Shogun landed 29 out of 69 kicks thrown! thats horrible: thats 42%
*AND at least half of those 29 were checked with Machida’s left hand!
Rua MISSED 40 of the so-called “devastating” Kicks.
im sorry but if you call missing more than half of your kicks “aggressive” and “exciting” then your ridiculous!
MACHIDA was WAY more accurate!
THAT’S WHY HIS KICKS COUNTED FOR SHIT!
October 26th, 2009 at 5:21 pm
Wow
I cannot believe that the judges gave this to Machida. The one big dollar in this is Dana White. He stole it. He told his paid off judges if it is close give it to Machida. All three judges with the same score—Imagine that, I could only possibly give one round to Machida.
I think the judges only counted head punches. That is the only thing Machida possibly won.
October 26th, 2009 at 5:23 pm
Absolutely great fight by both fighters. It is horrible that it was bought off by the man who owns the MMA. White and Company are the only ones who could possibly have come up with those results.
October 26th, 2009 at 5:39 pm
Judge Cecil Peoples states:
“…if you take a look at the judging criteria clean strikes are valued more-so than the quantity of strikes landed. Although Rua threw a lot of low kicks they were not as damaging as Lyotos diverse attack in the earlier rounds which is why I scored the first three rounds for Machida. You have to keep in mind we always the favour the fighter who is trying to finish the fight, and leg kicks certainly don’t do that.”

^^ check out this link.
October 26th, 2009 at 6:03 pm
Grappling points go to Machida as for Shogun was unsuccessful in his takedown attempts and Machida was able to defend. Machida wins grappling aspect. Thats simply good grappling ob Machida’s behalf.
October 26th, 2009 at 6:06 pm
Lyoto made Shogun follow him. Therefore, Machida dictated where the fight took place or as some call it…
“Octagon Control”
October 26th, 2009 at 6:11 pm
So anyone saying “To be the champ you have to beat the champ decisively” means Rua is handicapped? So Lyoto gets an advantage for being champion meaning he comes in the fight with a few extra points each rounds. That is such a wack idea. So anyone who sais that admits shogun would have won in a non title fight but in a championship fight he lost because he didnt Tko/Ko Lyoto? obviousely you guys are huge douchebags for saying things liek that. its like streetfighter! Lyoto is like wait let me put up the handicap bar so i get extra health because i am champ! Shogun is like ok i guess i will fight you with less health even tho we both payed a quarter to play.
October 26th, 2009 at 6:24 pm
SHOGUN won hands down.
October 26th, 2009 at 6:52 pm
CECILE PEOPLES AND NELSON HAMILTON SHOULD NOT ALLOWED TO BE JUDGES .
THEY ARE BOTH KENPO KARATE LOVER THAT GAVE LYOTO A BIG ADVANTAGE ..
EVERY TIME PEOPLES GET TO BE A REFEREE OR JUDGE BAD THINGS HAPPEN .
BENNY THE JETS LAST FIGHT ???? PEOPLE LET BENNY WIN .. TWO KNOCK DOWN AND POEPLES IGNORED THEM FOR HIS GOOD FRIEND BENNY!!!
DONT LET THIS CRAP HAPPEN ANY MORE BAN BOTH OF THEM FORM RING ACTIVITES ….
THIS IS THE VOICE OF THE TRUTH
October 26th, 2009 at 7:47 pm
no no no fuck that. lyoto did damn near no damage at all during the fight maybe 3 round, and some of the 1st. You can show me how many kicks were missed or landed, but i still see where Shoguns aggression was more in he later sounds alls i hear on these comments of the lyoto fanboy fanclub is how he badly he beat shogun. one shogun was not out of breath……machida…head down and breathing heavily. And if you say lyoto destroyed Rua…..i say the same rule applies….to be the champ you have to beat the champ. o remain the champ you must decimate you opponent. I have watched this fight more then 5 times and i ave no speakers on my comp so. i duuno what joe and mike were saying.
October 26th, 2009 at 8:00 pm
You can not win a fight just leg kicking the entire time. People please get a clue. Lyoto controlled the entire fight he maintained octagon control. He landed more combos than rua.
This will be a great rematch. I do think rua is the only one who can beat lyoto, but he did not beat him in ufc 104.
October 26th, 2009 at 8:09 pm
this was bogus shogun won this fight even lyoto thought he lost. the judges are idiots. i have respect for lyoto but this fight should have gone to shogun.
October 26th, 2009 at 8:42 pm
The dragon won rounds 1 and 3, machida won rounds 2 and 4, and so sorry to those who want to reward doing better than anyone else… but when a round is even like 5 was the round goes to the champ because as the challenger you have to win the round not expect it to be given to you because you did a good job…
October 26th, 2009 at 11:22 pm
Ok, here are some commenters that are retarded.
# 74 = Landing 42% of kicks is pretty good you idiot. Especially when Lyoto is the type to keep his distance and always back step whenever his opponent lunges forward. This isn’t freakin Fight Night Round 4, you don’t land 60% of your blows in a fight you retard. In a lot of fights, only about 30-40% of hits actually land.
#79 = So because Lyoto was making Rua follow him, he had “octagon control?” What kind of logic is that!? He was running away. So if Lyoto was just running laps while Rua was chasing after him, does that mean Lyoto has “octagon control?” NO.
Man, this is retarded. At this rate, Lyoto is just going to run away from everyone and retain his title everytime.
I know Lyoto is a great fighter, his reaction time is second-to-none. But his style of fighting makes me think that he doesn’t deserve to be the champ.
October 27th, 2009 at 2:29 am
Shogun Won.
October 27th, 2009 at 4:47 am
Machida won
October 27th, 2009 at 6:07 am
i really like these 2 fighters and i find this fight very enjoyable to watch.. you just have to stop watching before the decision…
October 27th, 2009 at 6:40 am
I felt that Shogun won, but since its a Championship fight, you have to beat the champion, not decision the champion. Shogun was consistent and landed many good kicks on the ribs and legs but Machida was always throwing a counter after getting hit. Counter punching is very affective because it lets the judges know that the blow you just got hit with wasn’t affective. I personally scored it 4-1 in favor of Shogun, but I can’t wait for the rematch!
October 27th, 2009 at 7:56 am
What….? That doesn’t even make sense… that belt should of went to shogun
October 27th, 2009 at 9:28 am
I think there is an posibility that the outcome off this fight is maby fixt, not by the ufc but maby by the gambeling industrie. there was a lot off money bet on this fight and it was like dana sad a 6 to 1 or something. that means the bookies would lose a lot of money if shogun won the fight. And I think alot of people bet on shogun because of the rates and shogun is the Ex Pride champion it would be a great bed. What do you guys think about this Theory
excuse me for my english writing.

October 27th, 2009 at 9:44 am
How is it that rampage lost his belt and machida retains it…Same type of fight in my opinion.Machida is UFC’s next goldenboy, but yet he sucks…Starting to like dream better. LOL
P.S. F machida,you won that fight shogun…
October 27th, 2009 at 11:10 am
I’m not a big fan of any of these guys…so in my objective opinion…shogun WAS robbed. this fight was DEFINATELY shoguns.
October 27th, 2009 at 12:04 pm
Yes Lyoto had OCTAGON CONTROL!
-Machida dictated that the fight will stay Standing up (shogun wanted
the fight on the floor) but that did not happen.
Machida chose the fight to be on the feet.
-Machida also forced Rua to come towards him… Dictating that the
fight would take place in the whole octagon(not just the
middle) again.. Octagon Control.
*it’s not running away. Its fighting intelligently. You dont
BRAWL with a BRAWLER! and HOOK w/a HOOKER!
-it’s simply the way Machida fights, WE ALL KNOW THIS!!! he’s a defensive, intelligent, counter fighter > meaning he’s likely to lunge backwards to…
-neutralize Rua’s power
-Avoid being hit
-intelligently avoid getting finished
-Whenever Rua was actually “aggressive” in moving forward with combo’s, he just about missed every one of his own punches.
half of Rua’s 42%(29 outof 69)landing total kicks where countered with Machida’s LEFT HAND. so thats about 14 counters
The other half just nicked Machida on the Patella as he dodged any real damage, they still made a little noise> doesnt meant they were clean shots! LMAO!
October 27th, 2009 at 1:21 pm
Shogun missed alot of those leg kicks and thats what he did for a vast majority of the fight, where as machida hit most of what he threw, Machida won it fair and square.
October 27th, 2009 at 1:33 pm
Shogun missed alot of those leg kicks and thats what he did for a vast majority of the fight, where as machida hit most of what he threw, Machida won it fair and square.
Machida, Statistically, had the much better fight. He fought smarter and most of Rua’s strikes were misses. Rua wasnt gunna win either way
October 27th, 2009 at 1:53 pm
I had my comments yesterday but somehow they were deleted..
Again,
After watching the fight 3 times and with no volume, I got:
1 round, 10-9 machida
2 round, 10-9 machida
3 round, 10-9 machida
4 round, 10-9 rua
5 round, 10-9 rua
Final points: 48-47 Machida WON!!
Shogun did nothing to beat Machida, no takedowns, many kicks and most of them were skipped and not landed
Machida scored more points because he was more accurate
If you wanna be the champ, then beat the champ!
Hope there’s a rematch soon!!
October 27th, 2009 at 3:12 pm
Hey thanks for the post been trying to watch this for dayss first event i missed in prob 6 years or more lol huge machida fan with that said
i had judged it this way
Round one machida
round two shogun
round 3 i was up in the air but thought machida stole it with the swarm at the end
round 4 and 5 shogun for sure
robbed indeed
October 27th, 2009 at 6:53 pm
DUDE OMG MACHIDA face was MESS UP LOL… SHOGUN SHOULD OF WON THAT WAS STUPID AS F**K… F**K the judges S**T SHogun total WON all the rounds…. LOL MACHIDA couldn’t even MOVE…. DAMN Shogun got JACKED and ROBBED F**K the judges…
October 27th, 2009 at 9:34 pm
Damn half these fuckers on here are machida retards. Go ahead and watch the fight without rgans conetary. It dont change the fact that shogun KICKED the fuck out him. Caused more damage and whats all this about Machida having octagon control? Machida was NEVER in control of shit. He missed almost everything he threw. All of you that think you cant leg kick to win a fight arent mma fighters and reall ur opinion means nothing. Leg kicks and body kicks are devastating and you could hear all those kicks. Then some of you are saying that they didnt even affect Machida???? He said himself tht he couldnt do anything in the 5th round b/c of the leg kicks. And he got his lip busted so bad he has to have no contact for a 60 day medical suspension. And if you DO go back and watch the fight watch the ned where Machida is looking down when the scores are being read and how he was surprised to hear that he was the winner. Every sir has this poll up on who won and in NONE OF THEM IS MACHIDA winning. Let me guess the fans who were voting for amchida who at the end were voting for shogun thought machida won aswell huh lol. In a couple of rounds Machida didnt even throw a strike for about 1-2 minutes. He landed honestly only 1 solid punch. Let me guess Dana saying Machida lost is a good business move? Its good to talk bad about the champ huh. Anyone with half a brain knows Shogun won 4-1. I could see maybe giving Machida 2 rounds at BEST.
October 27th, 2009 at 11:29 pm
Dana White is an absolute idiot for saying he thought Shogun won. He should keep his mouth shut regardless of his opinions. Dana is like a little boy sometimes…a little boy who thinks he’s tough. I’d like to see Dana’s sorry self in the cage. Pathetic moron. Anyway, close fight…Shogun probably edged it out in both clean striking and ring control, but barely. Barely is often not enough to take away a title. Maybe not fair, but not exactly a robbery either. Neither fighter look all that great. The UFC would go so much farther if they had a better leader than Dana the little girl White.
October 28th, 2009 at 3:50 pm
“Anyone who has a mouth can talk.”
-Lyoto Machida
-Anderson Silva
And STILL… The UFC Light Heavyweight Champion!
October 28th, 2009 at 3:50 pm
^^^^OF THE WORLD!!!!
October 28th, 2009 at 3:52 pm
Lyyyyoto! “The Dragon”.. MAAAAAAAAACHIIDAA!
October 28th, 2009 at 3:54 pm
Congratulations Lyoto Machida!
October 28th, 2009 at 5:01 pm
That was unfair ;| Shogun should win. Machida was rubish he done nothing. Shogun was controling him like a pupet. Machida won because his style is good advertisment for his fights ;/ “Karate kid” “the dragon” this time he was a Lizard when you compere him to shogun. rabish ;/
October 28th, 2009 at 6:38 pm
SHOGUN DESERVED TO WIN!! Definitely got radded out!
October 28th, 2009 at 7:16 pm
rua gano fue mejor que lyoto
October 28th, 2009 at 7:24 pm
Machida Won
The commentators only talk about Shoguns leg kicks but forget about Lyoto punches. Every punching and kicking exchange that happened Machida got at least one punch in, but they only mentioned Shoguns leg kicks.
There are rules to make the score card. And punches add more points than leg kicks. Just like a take down adds more points than punches.
October 29th, 2009 at 3:34 am
Dude look at machida face fucked up..cuts on lips n nose is that from punches or just some leg kicks…this is fight business they want a rematch for sure…viva rua!!!
October 29th, 2009 at 6:28 am
Machida should leave the UFC right now because of Dana’s huge disrispect to him. You can’t say that your actual champion shouldn’t be!!
Really, Dana’s words were a HUGE fuck up, I hope he learns a little bit of respect and how to keep his opinions for himself. Same goes to Joe Rogan, he’s a commentator, so say whatever you want in your twitter, but be a little more neutral doing your job.
October 29th, 2009 at 9:26 am
WOW, simply stated: Shogun got snubbed!! There is one thing I picked up after watching this fight, Machida is over rated. I know the real reason he doesn’t want to fight Anderson Silva, because he doesn’t want to get his a** handed to him. Thus Silva doesn’t want to embarrass or hurt his best friend Machida.
October 29th, 2009 at 10:19 am
SHOGUN WAS ROBBED!!!i am surprised on how this judges got machida all the way bull-crap. i believe there is a fix fighting on UFC hope DANA white has an explanation.o thanks for the video cause i am not paying PPV anymore.
October 29th, 2009 at 10:21 am
ANDERSON VS SHOGUN
October 29th, 2009 at 2:09 pm
This is B.S. I’m sure Dana White has seen the fight again and realized that Lyoto was the winner. Very technical fight. Was Joe only looking at Shogun’s legs the whole time that he missed Lyotos counters? Main reason for a rematch is because the audience booed, and that didn’t look good for the UFC.
October 30th, 2009 at 7:48 am
For the ppl who think the UFC is cheating…The judges aren’t employed by the UFC, they’re employed from the athletic commission where the fight takes place. In this case California. And if it was to be fixed, it would have been Shogun who won. Machida was the HUGE favorite. So stop with the cheating comments, and get some common sense. And a super close fight like that shouldn’t be called a robbery. I can see if it’s one sided, but for every leg kick, Machida smacked him with a left punch to the face or a knee or body kick. Watch it again without commentary and watch Machida hit him about the same. Also Machida made Rua miss A LOT. And stuffed all his takedown attempts, which should count for something. I myself think it was a draw, which should go to the champion. It could have gone either way. I’ve been watching mma since 92 and training in martial arts for over 20 years, and know a robbery, this my friends was not a robbery. Stop being so dramatic. The mma media is making this even worse. We’re gonna get a rematch really soon, so be happy about seeing two amazing strikers duke it out again! If you wanna see a real robbery, watch the botched job the VA. athletic comm. judges in Chase Bebe’s last fight. As much as the UFC can be fuckheads to their fighters, it’s not their fault if a judge sucks. Cecil Peoples shouldn’t be a judge to just name one. But all you real longtime mma fans have known this for years.
October 30th, 2009 at 11:32 am
I have to say there are allot of smack talkers on this forum.
they are calling dana, shogun, machida bitches and al that.
this bothers me allot. these three gentelman desirve all respect.
and this is very important for the sport. there is a lack off respect that shows that you are self not a fighter. if you are you should have learned to have some respect.
October 30th, 2009 at 1:02 pm
I love Machida and what he brings to the sport finally someone clearly representing karate in addition to Liddell and St Pierre and others. Chute boxe’s fighters have been some of my favorite since the begining, they are definite fighters instead of athletes, this one should have been a draw at most, Shogun definately the aggressor which is the direction I tend favor and left Machida with nice lacerations on his face. Should been a draw though since no real damage was done. UFC definately has room for improvement.
October 30th, 2009 at 1:51 pm
Aggression is looked at least when scoring a card. 1st > Clean striking 2nd> grappling 3rd> aggression.
Shogun did not employ effective aggression.
Rua did do a good job though. Machida was not in any real danger.
October 30th, 2009 at 3:47 pm
YOU GUYS ARE DUMB
October 30th, 2009 at 3:55 pm
Come on what a robbery. I have been in this stuff 20 years and that was one of clear cut, clean cut robbery.
October 30th, 2009 at 4:21 pm
I had 1 round for Machida, 2 rounds for Shogun, and 2 rounds too-close-to-call. I guess the champ got the benefit of the doubt.
Shogun wasn’t robbed but probably should have won. Hopefully the rematch will be more decisive.
October 30th, 2009 at 7:41 pm
Im Brazilian and SHOGUN WAS ROBBED!!!
I hate UFC cheater. First They Bought PrideFC with a promise
that they wouldn’t kill it. And on the First Day they kill PrideFc.
Fking UFC Mafia.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:59 pm
You guys just dont see it.All that shogun did the whole fight was throw leg kicks and body kicks and landed 1 punch. Not all of the kicks landed and machida was throwing punch counters at the same time, machida was mixing it up way more than shogun throwing punches kicks, knees, counters, punches, counter punches. The judges would have seen this.Throwing the same kicks over and over the whole fight will not win the fight. As far as im concerned machida done enough to outscore shogun. If you watch the fight properly and dont listen to rogan you will see that machida was landing counter strikes most of the time that shogun was landing kicks.
Causing allot of damage to teh legs is not enough !!!
October 31st, 2009 at 6:57 pm
shogun won!!!!!!!!!!!!!
November 1st, 2009 at 12:45 am
While I see it far closer than the judges did, I have Machida edging it out on points. VERY interesting contrast watching without sound. That says a lot about how promo and commentator hype affects opinion.
Nice to see a prepared and focused Shogun, but he definitely needed to be looking for a finish. You cannot expect to come into a championship match and pick away at a fighter like Machida and allow it to go to a decision. If the fight is at all close, you’re not likely to come away with a win. One knockdown or successful takedown might have sealed it for Rua.
I don’t really agree with that aspect, but that’s how it is. What all you that are blaming White, the UFC, and yelling “rig!” are missing is that the problem is with the JUDGING. There needs to be a more standardized measure of judging these fights, where kicks, takedowns, submission attempts, and DEFENSE are equally (or fairly) factored. That is what is at issue, not some cheating conspiracy. When you have 3 different perspectives on the same fight, you’re not always going to have a consensus, and even when you do have a consensus, you cannot know what subjective view accounts for it. One judge could have been blinking when another was seeing a landed strike. Similarly, one may view a leg kick as being less effective than a body shot, or vice-versa. It’s too susceptible to human error and opinion.
I think they should average judges scores against something like CompuStrike. At least that way you’re getting a hedge on human error.
Coincidentally, a format like that would likely have given Rua the victory.
November 1st, 2009 at 7:36 pm
I think the only reason Machida won was the judges felt in order for you to take the title from a champion, you must show your dominant from knocking out or knocking down the champ. In this case, Shogun landed a lot of hard kicks, damaged or not, Machida showed he’s still standing and Shogun is not tough enough to beat him
November 1st, 2009 at 11:34 pm
Machida won rounds 1-3, that simple
November 2nd, 2009 at 5:13 am

Lyoto was not very well on this figth but he manage to win it.
Keep like that!
SHOTOKAN KARATE RULES MMA!!!
November 2nd, 2009 at 2:12 pm
I agree with the general feeling that Shogun won. But still, both fighters were a little too cautious… it would have been nice to see some guts from these two great fighters. Hopefully, there will be a better rematch.
November 3rd, 2009 at 2:22 pm
com on open your eyes! almost every leg kick was met with a left or right to the head or a kick.. shogun was a one trick pony and couldnt even get 1 of his 4 failed takedown
November 3rd, 2009 at 7:33 pm
Okay, what the hell was up with this fucking fight? Seriously. Its only so obvious who fucken won!! Looka da end, machida’s face compared to shogun’s, pretty much shows it too! Shogun won…
I even heard Machida said so himself after the fight, that he feels like he doesnt deserve the win.
November 3rd, 2009 at 7:35 pm
btw ‘davein the cage’ … at least shogun tried taking it to the ground. machida knew he woulda got merked on thats why. and you say it so simple, i wanna see you try taking down the light heavyweight chapion of ufc who never ever lost a round in the ufc ever. lets see you do it, dick.
November 5th, 2009 at 11:14 am
Bull shit, this is so fucking ridiculous leg kicks can win a fight just look at the rampage Jackson vs forest griffin fight FOREST WON WITH LEG KICKS! I looked up stats on this fucking fight shogun doubled machidas hits,He showed more aggression the whole fight and more control overall in the fight.Oh and don’t forgot the fact that “The Dragon” with all that skill in counter strikes, layed off on it after shogun checked him when lyoto tryed to counter him.So much garbage to those of you that ACTUALLY THINK THIS WAS A UNANIMOUS DECISION FIGHT. Yeah maybe JUST MAYBE lyoto captured the 2nd round but the rest of them shogun had him checked.
November 5th, 2009 at 11:16 am
Oh and dont forget Lyoto had to rehabilitate his legs after that fight.
November 5th, 2009 at 3:41 pm
to get the title and belt you must clearly beat the belt holder. shogun didn’t clearly win, machida didn’t clearly win but wasn’t beaten. and so machida has still to be beaten. i’d like to watch a better fight the next time with lyoto engaging when a fight is being brought to him.
November 6th, 2009 at 1:00 am
All shogan showed was that he was fitter and not a better fighter. Leg kicks aren’t enough. I know all the internet warriors, will disagree. I am a BJJ Black belt Thai Boxer, but am realistic.
November 6th, 2009 at 1:04 am
The internet warriors who have never fought ofcourse know everything, leg kicks aren’t and never will be enough. Lyoto wasn’t beaten. You have to beat the champ.
November 6th, 2009 at 3:49 am
I was wrong, lyoto won. I really was wrong.
November 6th, 2009 at 3:50 am
I am an internet warrior and have never fought, only pillow fighting.
November 6th, 2009 at 8:50 am
Machida clearly won that fight, it was like a chess game he was giving the ribs cage to get the chin and he got it at least 90% of the times. At around 1:20 of the second round he almost knocked down Rua and all they are screaming about is the kick by Rua.
If Rua’s kick were so great why wasnt he able to land more then one at a time,he wasnt because every time he was getting a straight left to the chin that would send him backward.
Do you think that a solid warrior like Rua looses balance on a circular kick. He wasnt loosing balance he was hit straight to the chin.
Rua more agressive and ring control…
Make me laugh
Machida was dictating Rua’s agression just like a bullfighter.
He was doing so by feet placement. The only time Rua would sucesfully strike is when Machida had the outside foot so when he would come in, Machida was landing a straight left. And if the foot placement wasnt to Machida advantage he would back off and let Rua swing for nothing
And to see all that look at the fight in slow motion Because at normal speed some punches you dont even see.
November 6th, 2009 at 4:34 pm
With no sound it is a close fight. With sound on just listening to Rogan made it sound like Rua was knocking out tyson, this is the UFC, better do more then kick a guy in the fucking leg to get the title. How come Rogan wasnt sceaming in the mic when Machida was popping Rua in the head? Bottom line is that it was a closer fight then the annoucners made it out to be!!
November 8th, 2009 at 9:58 am
It is undoubtedly the most poor unanimous decision that one can give. I think that the referees were bribed prim and proper by Machida Gang…..The time has come when Dana should stop repudiating other fight forums and concentrate more on rectifying his panel of judges….time to introspect….Mr. Dana White…..wake……up:(
November 8th, 2009 at 8:59 pm
I love how some fag used my forum name to make me look stupid go fuck off
November 9th, 2009 at 1:28 am
I have watched this video both with and without sound and there is a vast difference. I urge you all to try it because Joe Rogan definitely over emphasizes many of Shoguns attacks. It makes you feel like everything that Shogun is doing is more intense and effective. I have never questioned Joe Rogans commentating abilities until this point but his style can seem biast at times during this fight. I think he should continue commentating but i beleive that some times it must be hard not to like one fighter more than the other. I have nothing against Shogun and i believe he is a great fighter. I admire both his and Machida’s styles. They are both very different fighters. Shogun is quite aggresive when compared to Machidas patient and mature approach. I feel that Machida did enough to win this fight. Shogun came with an effective game plan that certainly challenged Machida but didn’t cause any lasting damage. He was patient and i beleive that was a key to his sucess compared to other fighters that have fought Machida before. Another 5 rounds and Shogun still wouldn’t have finished Machida. Then again Machida didn’t land many harsh blows but continued his unique style and aimed to pick off Shogun whenever he could. It was a close fight and i would love nothing more than to see a rematch. You can look at this fight whichever way you want but when i turn the sound off, through my eyes i can see that the judges have made the correct decision. I further beleive that to be a champion you have to beat the champion. Leg kicks are a good strategy but they won’t win you fights.
November 9th, 2009 at 3:53 am
Me and my boyfriend like Shogun. Theox
November 9th, 2009 at 3:51 pm
I have seen this fight many times, becuase i love both of these fighters. shogun did land alot of leg kicks, and did execute a brilliant game plan, however machida landed more brutal shots such as left hands to the face and powerful knees. machida won the first 3 rounds, but lost the last two. the impressions are also different from their respective styles. karate is alot more quite and patient, while muay thai is more conspicuous (coaches ‘yaying’ whenever a kick lands). also both commentators have no objectivity, very shogun biased. so with the quite and conservative karate aspect, along with biased commentating, with the last two rounds for shogun in a very close fight gives the imrepssion that shogun one. i believe to defeat a chapion, you must do it in an undisputable fashion…this is my opinion.
November 10th, 2009 at 7:03 am
Points wise, the fight could go either way, although I would tend to go with shogun. In terms of damage, shogun definitley won. Machida was limping in rounds 3 and 4. If the judges don’t take into consideration the damage inflicted and just count by points then mma is gay. This isn’t fucking fencing, this is mma, each fighter is meant to seek to destroy his opponent and inflict as much damage as possible on his opponent. Shogun did a better job at that than machida, therefore shogun won.
November 14th, 2009 at 4:44 pm
MMA is turning into boxing because of increased popularity = MONEY.
Couture vs. Vera is only confirmation. UFC is a show!
Hope Strikeforce and Japanese can live up to some standard.

when i first saw this fight I was like, damn, shogun got robbed. But then I read all the comments about watching the fight without sound. WOW, what a difference. With the one sided commentary and loud smacks it seemed like Shogun was really connecting hard on machida. But after watching with no sound, most of shogun’s strikes looked like they were blocked. you can’t give a guy points for kicking a forearm no matter how loud it sounds. everyone who said shogun was robbed watch this fight again muted. I was like you thinking shogun got robbed until i turned the sound off. extremely close fight but Machida won rounds 1,2,and 3.
