I’ve never bought the Kimbo hype, but I do think he could be good with 2-3 more years of high-level training. By then, though, he might be too old to have a career at this level. Still too tentative and green on everything other than bar room standup. I hope he’ll get more chances because he could be exciting in the cage.

Dissappointing fight although roy won you could hardly call him a fighter from this fight. It was basically roy smothering kimbo with his fat. If roy had of showed some of his skill in the stand up department or some form of tuitsu skill i wouldnt be so sceptical but at the end of the day the show is designed for entertaining audiences and roy didnt entertain.

Where the hell is Kimbo’s BASIC BJJ. He’s been training with Bas and now in here and he still doesn’t know any basic ground work, like turning towards your opponent on your back, surely just watching one ground fight you could learn that. Anyway, hopefully he can get some ground skills cause theres no denying he’s a physical beast and a good draw. If he looses like this though then he needs to train a lot lot longer to try learn some stuff he should know by now.

I agree with everyone else. Roy got lucky with the lock down on his left arm. if it was a stand up fight, Kimbo would have the conditioning and strenght to just pummel him. This was hardly a fight at all considiner all Roy did was lay on Kimbo and smother him with his muffin top.

Majority of you fools need to take Kimbo’s balls out of your mouths. He got beat and that is that. If Roy’s belly wasn’t in the way, he would have exposed Kimbo’s glass jaw. At least it takes more than a Jab from Seth Petruzelli to put Roy down.

… Kimbo was clearly lacking on the ground game, and I say this because if you watch him and him alone you’ll notice he just lays there… That being said, who wouldn’t just lay there with 250 pounds sitting on your head? Kimbo took the loss very graciously and I expect that the next time we see him, he’s going to be a much more dangerous fighter (as long as he focuses either ground game or gaining a solid take-down defense). Roy, on the other hand, is going to get knocked the fuck out if he doesn’t start shaping up… Do you really think that he will be able to pull off something like this on someone like Lesnar? or Mir? or any other of the top Heavyweights (and not top) in the UFC? Nuh uh. He better get his head out of his fat ass and start getting in shape or he’s going to have a very very painful and embarrassing wake-up call.. and frankly, I can’t wait to see it after his fat ass was gloating over this win like his shit don’t stink. As much as I despise Dana White, I completely agree with everything he said about Roy in this fight.

Kimbo needs to work on his wrestling and ground ability. Once he gets thoose two things, we can start calling him a fighter. Though I must say with Nelson’s fat belly lying on my head I wouldn’t do any better.

being a street fighter, kimbo’s almost a superstar…but now he’s inside the ring with other mma fighters…he’s just a pussycat…although he’s known for his killer fists that has beaten some fighters on the streets…but it’s nothing compared to the fat belly of Roy Nelson that has almost suffocated him to death…He still has a long way to go before he could even be called a professional fighter…

if they were at all pros i would stop watching the ufc. i have never seen a pro get tired before the end of the first round. And kimbo is one of or the best boxer on the show for sure. but there too many wrestlers and kimbo prob wont make it pass them.
