November 12th, 2009 at 9:20 pm
that editor of UFC magazine fag needs to shut the fuck up
panzy bitch
November 12th, 2009 at 10:14 pm
It almost seems like Mike Straka started watching MMA the day before applying for his job… WTF?
November 13th, 2009 at 12:40 am
I started watching MMA in prolly 03 and I agree with Straka. Fedor hasnt looked good in either of his last 2 fights. I dont see Fedor beating the UFC heavyweight elite. I’m sorry but getting beat up for the majority of a fight and then landing one punch isnt impressing me.
November 13th, 2009 at 2:05 am
How about winning every fight since the year 2000, including defeating every celebrated heavyweight in the Japanese circuit (which was THE circuit back then). ‘Getting beat up for the majority of the fight?’ Yeah right, one punch that opened up a pre-existing cut, and some minor ground and pound… sheesh… Do you just expect Fedor to snap his fingers and his opponent will fall down dead? Its a fight, he gets hit, and he wins, always.
Nog just beat Couture, and is considered one of the best UFC heavyweights right now, although he’s a bit past his prime. Between 2000-2006 (Nog’s prime), he only lost two fights. Who did he lose to? Fedor, both times… What other proof do people need? He keeps beating everybody, for 10 years straight, and it could be easily argued that he has never legitimately lost a fight. How can anybody not consider Fedor the best? Lesnar is an ex-steroids addict, with only 5 fights, and an immune system so fucked up he can barely even train…

44caliber, Fedor hasn’t lost a fight since years before you even started watching MMA, and he ‘isn’t impressing you’. Tool…
November 13th, 2009 at 3:08 am
So what he did years ago should impress me now??? That doesn’t make since. I don’t claim to be a MMA aficionado but, I want to see him fight the best. To me Brock, Cain, Nog all look like better fighters.
I admittedly haven’t seen much of Fedor but beating Brett Rogers isn’t going to make me go wow.

i do think fedor is 1 of the best and could be no.1 heavy weight but hasnt beat any top heavy weight recently and with some of the new talent in the ufc it would be intresting to see him fight the likes of dos santos, velasquez and see how he would cope against someone like lesnar or carwin who have the wrestling to put him down and keep him down plus 30-40lbs weight advantage. If brock can put mir on his back, neutralise his bjj and just beat on him until hes Tko’d then surely he has a change of doing this to fedor?
November 13th, 2009 at 7:58 am
He hasn’t fought the best. Frank Mir, Brock, Shane Carwin, Gonzaga, etc.
Come on Fedor go to the UFC bitch.
November 13th, 2009 at 8:06 am
hey 44, its true ur not an mma afficianado, as a matter of fact, u dont know shit about anything and u are a complete dumbass. Keep your shit comments to yourself. eat shit
November 13th, 2009 at 9:33 am
Wow caliber44.. nog was beat twice by fedor..not impressed? Fedor is a true warrior.. hes a chess player inside the octagon.. he can weather the big shots that people throw and throw knockout power.. brett rogers beat him up? did you even watch the fight?
and holleywood.. frank mir? please.. KO all day.. Brock may be the only 1 who even stands a chance from that huge right hand.. but i do believe Fedor may be too much for even big brock to chew..
November 13th, 2009 at 12:28 pm
I don’t want to be a jerk 44caliber, you seem like a well spoken guy, but unless you have seen a number of Fedor’s fights, you should not waste everyone’s time by posting about him… 5 years ago, which was considered fedor’s prime, he was fighting in this exact same way. He gets hit, he gets beat up a bit, it looks like he might get knocked out, and he weather’s the storm and always pulls out something to win. Even in his prime, and I think he is still in his prime, his fights often looked a bit ugly. He’s never been a Brock Lesnar in the way that he fights. He’s a very small heavyweight and usually takes some sort of beating, but he always comes through, and that is what is so amazing about him. he’s little, he has to get close to his opponent, and he always gets tagged a few times in attempting that. 5 years ago when he ruled japan, you would have said the same thing, that he didn’t ‘look good enough’ to beat whoever. But he always wins, his style has never changed, and he never was the type of fighter to look completely dominant. People who have only watched his highlight reel think that he dominated all of his fights…
That said, I would like to see him face some of the UFC rising stars, but Hollywood, he IS the best. It’s Frank Mir, Brock, Shane Carwin, and Gonzaga that haven’t fought the best. Jeez…
November 13th, 2009 at 12:33 pm
the editor of ufc magazine is clearly a stupid idiot, and doesnt really know what hes talking about… i mean maul??! really someone mauling fedor isnt something that even seems pasible, and he talked about the size diferences, didnt he see the fight? bret rogers was 30 puonds heavier than fedor, and how about that fight against the giant corean guy whose name i dont remember. Someone should fire him i mean its his job to know that shit
November 13th, 2009 at 12:53 pm
by the way, Gonzaga is a great fighter, shane carwin is gigantic and it looks like hes trying hard and going places. But Lesnar is just a gigantic idiot, i mean beeing huge laying on people and hammerfisting on their faces isnt fighting, he looks more like some kind of dumb gorila. He does have great cardio though. Carwin vs Lesnar wouldve been a great fight beacouse theyre about the same size but Carwin is a pretty decent fighter. Frank mir… well, hes not so great, Cain is pretty good though
November 13th, 2009 at 1:22 pm
Yeah, the list that hollywood provides is just a bunch of guys who are doing sort of ok at this particular time, none of them are what you can call ‘great’. I’m a fan of both Carwin and Cain, I think they both look like decent fighters who could go far, so understand that I’m not hating. But anyone who compares them to Fedor at this point sounds like a fool, I’m pretty sure even they know they should not be compared to Fedor…
Fedor has more wins than Mir, Lesnar, and Cain, COMBINED. And I mean that literally, count them up. If you add Carwin’s wins to their totals, all four of them combined only have two more wins than Fedor has himself, and Fedor has fought far greater fighters than most of them… Seriously, you think any one of those guys can be compared to Fedor…?

Fedor will rape lesnar ass soon or later.
November 13th, 2009 at 2:38 pm
There are probably 20 people in the UFC (not just HW’s) who would have stopped Rogers in the first round. Fedor wasn’t even fighting for the Strikeforce belt, it’s a joke. Overroids holds that belt, also a joke.
The tool who said Fedor isn’t ducking the top fighters, is ignoring the fact that Fedor turned down the biggest contract in MMA history for that exact reason.
I’ve always been a Fedor fan, but Brock would have crushed Rogers worse than he has crushed anyone (except for maybe that nobody he fought in Japan for his first fight, and that’s a big maybe).
November 13th, 2009 at 3:06 pm
stonepony, you don’t know the details of that contract, so what exactly are you referring to? fedor has stated many times that it was a contract that did not benefit him, and thats why he did not sign..
November 13th, 2009 at 3:13 pm
Also, I agree that Lesnar would have destroyed Rogers way quicker than Fedor did, but to say that makes Lesnar a better fighter shows that you really don’t know a thing about Fedor’s fighting style, or MMA in general… Rampaging ogres will end fights very quickly against lesser rampaging ogres, but put up against a tactician such as Fedor, he would probably get caught…
November 13th, 2009 at 3:22 pm
Fedor ducked Brock. He was offered the most money ever offered to a fighter, and turned it down. Had he have wanted to fight, he would have.
November 13th, 2009 at 9:18 pm
who is better?
November 14th, 2009 at 3:53 am
fedor took some hard punches and ended up with the ko, you cannot take anything away from him, look how composed he is in his fights. He is the best in the world and the ufc is not as good as you might think to their fighters, only the elites get the big money, i mean come on the natural is still in contention for the title? brock gets a title shot in his third fight against then champion randy cotoure? a lot of bullcrap coming out of the ufc claiming they have the best heavyweights, i wouldn’t sign if i was fedor because fedor knows that he can sell out the crowds anywhere he goes, i will bet that ufc offered him peanuts compared to what they would give lesnar.
November 14th, 2009 at 5:18 am
one single person can create a trend on this side
November 14th, 2009 at 5:38 am
People love Lesnar for his look his physical superiority
maybe even for his acting
with fedor things are very different
they love his skills his deadly mateattacks his bravery
his stoicism his coolness his modesty and first off all his sportsmanship
thats something Lesnar never can reach even if he would win his next 25 fights and all media would be be manipulated
November 14th, 2009 at 6:44 am
Lesnar unsportsmanlike? What would you do if you had to fight a guy that was making you out to be a complete joke? Mir was pushing too far. Did you even follow what Mir was saying about Brock? Brock destroyed Mir and said shit back… who cares. Mir was the one that was being unsportmanlike, breaking Tim’s arm and saying he is going to do the same to Brock. Stop being a follower and putting down Brock cuz everyone else is. And if Fedor was the best he would go to the UFC and fight to prove all the doubters wrong… but he hasn’t. So all the Fedor fans that cheer for him cuz it’s a trend for ya’ll, keep kissing ass and saying he is the best. He’s not… till he steps in the UFC.
November 14th, 2009 at 8:02 am
lol, I love how people talk shit on the internet, but anyway. I am not going to give Fedor props for shit he did 5 years ago. 5 years ago doesnt mean shit right now. I watched Fedors older fights and they are definitely impressive, but over the last couple of years I have not been impressed. And lets be realistic neither are you. Nobody was surprised he beat Rogers, I was surprised that Rogers dominated the first round though.
I think right now, Brock, Cain, and Shane would all stop Fedor not just beat him. Brock especially would just lay on top of him and punch him in the face the same way he did Frank Mir.
Fedor hasnt fought a top heavyweight (outside of maybe Arlovski) in like 3 years.
Realistically, what has Fedor done these last couple of years??? Just because you were at the top doesnt mean you always remain there.
November 14th, 2009 at 12:40 pm
I can’t really take the opinion of a noob who up until this week had only saw fedor’s 3 most recent fights, sorry… How about we wait until he loses one single fight to say he’s not at the top anymore… And if you think Rogers dominated the first round, you further demonstrate that you don’t know a thing about MMA…. noobs…
November 16th, 2009 at 3:36 pm
i dont really get u 44caliber, u say fedor hasnt fought any top heavyweight outside of maybe arlovski… i mean, if u consider him a top heavy weight, and Rogers crushed him in 33 seconds… i think maybe u could say Rogers was a top heavyweight too huh??
I dont even get this discussion. Fedors record is impressive, and he would kick Lesnars ass, period.
