Being Greek the result pleased me, but it truly is a weird comparison to make, as the Ninjas weren’t real warriors, they were covert ops/assasins sent in to make key kills rather than inflict mass murder. Spartans though were killing machines…so obviously in a warrior/battle point of view the Spartan would win.
Still quite satisfying to think that 2500 year old technology could beat technology from the 14 hundreds.

I have to agree with the results. The ninja would just bloody the crap out of the Spartan, and maybe, given a few days after the conflict, the Spartan may die, but in the short of it, the Spartan was just too much for hit-and-run tactics.

lmao very entertaining, but not the most accurate show. I too am Greek, and for that fact am proud to have the Spartan win. However, one inaccuracy is the fact the Spartan sword was made of iron at the time period of the battle at Thermopylae, not bronze, as well as the tip of the spear (which was actually also tipped with a smaller point at the bottom, so it was double-sided). Just as important as the shield is the Spartan’s training, a huge factor they don’t really mention. The Spartan is far tougher/durable and stronger than the ninja. So in a straight fight, ya, the Spartan should win at least 65 percent of the time, whereas the ninja is all about stealth/assassination mission. And I wish they wouldn’t be childish: “we’re going to kill your ninja or spartan”- very immature.

The better comparison would be the samurai vs. the spartans since both were more military type soldiers. Ninjas could be more akin to James Bond/Assassin/1 on 1 type of fighter

Of course we can find problems in the methods used to determine how these two different soldiers would clash, and there were some missed opportunities in the staged fight, I truly enjoyed, and respect the results. I was rooting for the spartan, though the ninja did cause me to question the spartan at times. The ninja could after all kill samurai, however there were also many factors that made the spartan better as well. Spartans were trained in one on one combat, in reconnaissance, and anything war related. Their lives revolved around combat, a ninja was also a peasant, so thats a big difference. Armor, shields and weapons also had a major effect, however I liked the realistic-ish portrayal of the ninja, not being able to just dodge everything. A spear may seem slow in movies, but in real life, and with a pinch of exhaustion, suddenly that spear is moving pretty quick. The fight itself had a few cheesy momments, like the ninja flipping and landing into a dodge roll just to get over a log, or blinding the spartan and running (though that could be to get a tactical opening and rest) aside from a few issues like that, it felt really satisfying. Overall great show in my opinion looking forward to more installments

the shuriken of the ninja were not meant to kill. they were meant to distract or disable as the ninja was gaining distance. or the ninja could advance as they whip shuriken at the enemy. though of course there is still the spartan shield and armor.

although i wish the ninja won(i study ninjutsu, lol) i do agree with the result. ninjas werent meant for head to head. they were the perfect assassins, but only that. they are not warriors.

i did not agree with the results…the ninja displayed here has to be the worst ninja in history. ninjas are masters of stealth so a TRUE ninja would not have been seen giving said ninja enough opportunities to destroy his opponent.
