I really do not see Mike Brown beating Jose Aldo. I’ve stated this on numerous occasions and I’m standing by it.
Aldo is capable of taking out his opponent while on their feet and he will land multiple strikes, both fist and knee, and mix in some kicks as well. Brown may talk the talk, but he’s got to get through Aldo and that, my friend, isn’t likely to happen.
Aldo is a phenomenal athlete who is very well versed in MMA. If given a choice as who you’d rather fight, who’d you pick? Hopefully you’d choose who you think would be the most formidable opponent, which in my opinion, is Jose Aldo. This fight should not go past the first found, but who knows? It could go 2-3 rounds, but to go the full distance with Aldo? Brown has the endurance to last 5 rounds, and whether or not Aldo has or can, remains to be seen. He probably doesn’t need the full 25 minutes, though.
Aldo hasn’t shown any weaknesses, yet Brown has shown an inability to move his head to avoid head strikes. Another thing, he always swings for the fences, which will get him in trouble, when facing an opponent of Aldo’s caliber.
Brown appears to be larger than Aldo, but training to fight is why smaller men beat larger men. Aldo is much, much quicker than Brown. Aldo can lay out an opponent with knees.
The edge goes to Jose Aldo.
