No, idiot, watch the fights. Penn got edged the first time due to takedowns. GSP was in the IC ward at the hospital that night. Penn went to the club. Everyone saw how much help (VASELINE) GSP needed to win the second.
December 13th, 2009 at 2:09 am
Who is worthy to fight the penn now?????
Dominate performance!!!!!
If you think diego had a chance you pretty much don’t know shi. Diego lost at “YES!”
I just want to know who is next to be fucked up by the Penn train.

December 13th, 2009 at 2:55 am
lets see GSP move up a a weight class and take on Anderson Silva and see how he fairs before you talk shit about BJ. He will dominant anyone in the 155 division.
December 13th, 2009 at 3:23 am
thanks felix your on the money
December 13th, 2009 at 4:37 am
BJ is the best lightweight MMA fighter in the world, bar none. But to Felix and the other morons who believe that it was the help GSP needed to dismantle BJ, give your collective idiotic heads a shake. How long have you clowns been following MMA anyway? Absolute strength, size, ground-and-pound, jabbing and boxing, take-downs,etc., pick your category. Name one which you feel in which BJ is superior? The answer is NONE. BJ IS NOT A WELTERWIGHT, YOU FOOLS. Look at what Matt Hughes did to him the second time around. If BJ stays at Lightweight (and he will), he will go down as one of the best ever.
December 13th, 2009 at 5:15 am
st pierr is the russian from rocky, a cheater, and no true champ, ”GG” i can tell you like to ride on peoples cock cause i was a pierr fan to till i see how he acted the 2nd fight against bj , hired a man to kiss him, and putting grease on EVERY round, he aint no camp, and he lost alot of respect among the mma community, except fags like you who just likes his swagg, imma say again you like to ride on peoples cocks lol
December 13th, 2009 at 6:24 am
BJ pen is back!
GSP only won due to his size advantage..BJ has to bulk up sensibly to welterweight to get his revenge…
December 13th, 2009 at 6:57 am
lol wake people GSP will kick his a s s everytime you guys do not know s h i t about fight
December 13th, 2009 at 7:22 am
Gray Maynard might put up a fight against him.. or frankie edgar.. they have quick hands like BJ and would be able to hang with his stand up until they could use their superior wrestling against him. Diego is a piece of shit number 1 contender. He’s not proficient at any aspect of the game and he got exposed for it here. On a side note, if Penn wants to try for GSP again, he would have to beat a couple other welterweights first to get to him, he’s not gonna get another shot right away, but hes smarter than that and will stay at 155 where he has by far the best shot of winning.
December 13th, 2009 at 7:34 am
Dude GSP vs BJ wasnt fair, bj had to gain weight, which means he’s slower and his conditioning is guna struggle, but this is his natural weight no one in his weight class has a chance, NO ONE!! at least right now, maybe when he starts to age of course and is to old… but i hate how when Bj wins a fight dominating to say the least, ppl bring up his lose against Gsp… really.?! GSP LOST TO MATT SERA!! nuff said, regardless if he one the rematch… And i love GSP just stop hating on one fighter for an awesome performance…
December 13th, 2009 at 7:55 am
Fight should have been over at 1:00. BJ is a beast, and will reign longer than Anderson Silva.
December 13th, 2009 at 8:22 am
LOL did someone just say they think gray maynard can hang with bj penn. you are delusional
December 13th, 2009 at 8:35 am
That was so funny; what ever happened to Diego’s scowl? BJ wasn’t messing around. He was determined to show this kid who the boss is. I wonder what was going through Sanchez’ head when he got cracked and then got the sh*t beat out of him just in the first round alone?
One thing I can or will say for him, though, he managed to get back into the fight. I do not see how he even survived the first 2 minutes, but he did. Too bad he couldn’t last the full 5 rounds. Tisk Tisk.
December 13th, 2009 at 8:52 am
LOL! It’s so funny to hear from BJ haters and GSP nut-suckers…
Tell us when GSP actually fought outside his comfort zone, fought anyone who is bigger and way above his weight class? He got spanked by Serra in no time like a chicken with out a head! You keep saying GSP spanked BJ’s ass and all – but at least BJ strives to go way above his comfort zone and truly challenged himself and won the belt in the WW – and even fought guys considered in LHW and HW. Did GSP even get close to that? Would GSP even have the guts to step up the weight class and challenge Ando? or even Marquardt for the title shot?
December 13th, 2009 at 9:13 am
during the fight, sanchez still had the scowl… because his face was broken. good sh*t, bj!
December 13th, 2009 at 9:18 am
no body can talk about gsp becuse he is the bset fhgter ever and he can dominant any one come in he’s way even anderson and bj benn is nothing and gsp gave him a good lesson baby
December 13th, 2009 at 9:31 am
felix cry me a river idiot
December 13th, 2009 at 10:18 am
horrible quality why even upload such a bad video
December 13th, 2009 at 10:32 am
007HEC, do you ACTUALLY think that GSP hired that guy to kiss BJ? Come on man…
BJ is a beast at 155, no one can touch him. When he goes up to WW he gets destroyed, but that takes nothing away from what he can do at 155. GSP is a beast at 170, but would probably do just as poorly against Silva at 185, that just the way it goes guys. When people go up a weightclass, they tend to lose.
Anyone who thinks that BJ will ever have a chance against GSP is sadly mistaken, and it makes people hate GSP because BJ Penn is their hero and they don’t like seeing him get his ass beaten that bad…
People who say GSP is not a true champ are just poor losers. The case went to court, GSP won. If you know anything about mma, you could tell that Penn had absolutely no chance at anytime during that fight, he was mauled like a kitten… It has been proven that the grease was unintentional and didn’t play a part in the fight. The courts decided that and Dana White agrees. BJ on the other hand has made a career of bitching and complaining every time he loses a fight, instead of taking it like man…. he’s a great fighter, but an awful loser, so who is the true champion?
December 13th, 2009 at 11:12 am
Ok yes Bj lost to GSP but look at his loss record he lost to GSP at 170, Hughes at 170 and Mochida in k1 who is a 205 fighter he has to go Out of his weight class to lose. GSP is a phenomenal fighter but until he goes outside his weight class he doesnt have the same credentials as BJ. BOTH fighters are king of their own weight class. You cant truly say GSP is “so much better” since Its not Bjs normal class to fight at when they fight.
December 13th, 2009 at 11:22 am
did someone will really say gsp is gonna beat silva LOL,i wish that fight would happen, then we would see gsp deal with the same disadvantages bj penn did,gsp would be insane to even think he could get in the ring with silva
December 13th, 2009 at 12:05 pm
Seriously…most useless waste of time is to discuss BJ-GPS issue…
I don’t get it whats wrong with some ppl just firing statements about fighters like that (like who would woop whose ass)…oh wait, thats what fat couch potato kids to on WWF forums… grow up please… do us all a favor… thanks.. .
December 13th, 2009 at 1:03 pm
The video cuts off in the middle.
December 13th, 2009 at 1:13 pm
Dirty Sanchez will now have nightmares of B.J. Penn every time he meditates. His nickname nightmare back-fired on him! The Prodigy rules at 155!!!
December 13th, 2009 at 3:19 pm
Wow…BJ…a living legend.
December 13th, 2009 at 7:50 pm
i cant stand bj penn diego should have won b penn is a no good piece of ****
December 13th, 2009 at 8:11 pm
Diego should have won? In which sense? He had the living hell beaten out of him. So I’d say, no, BJ Penn should have won.
December 13th, 2009 at 8:12 pm
bj no good
GSP TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!
December 13th, 2009 at 8:18 pm
I’m not even a BJ fan, i actually really dislike him. And GSP is one of my favs. But a guy who hasn’t lost in his own weight class in 8 years? No good? Why are you even wasting your time typing stuff like that?
December 13th, 2009 at 8:34 pm
Bj Penn is superior in his division.
GSP is superior in his division.
I’m both fan of this two. But.
If they are ever to fight again. Why not let Bj take a bath with vaseline and let’s see if he’s gonna make it? XD
If you are really good you don’t need excuses just because you lost, you will always win. In penn vs gsp, penn is not just good enough that time.
peace out! ^^
December 13th, 2009 at 9:28 pm
Diego Sanchez got an ASS WHOOPING!!!
December 13th, 2009 at 11:11 pm
This fight was easier for BJ considering the fact he had fought with heavier opponents like Matt Hughes, and GSP. Even if they were at the canvas or at the ground, BJ could have prevailed.
December 13th, 2009 at 11:45 pm
I want to see a GSP vs BJ III. In the second fight, BJ gained weight in a bad way. He was fat and didn’t train as much as he should have. He just assumed that because he did so well in the first fight, that he would just cruise to a victory.
Now BJ got a lot more humble and regained his drive to be the best. If he gains weight the right way and trains with the strength and conditioning program that he uses now, it will probably be a much more entertaining fight than the last one.
December 14th, 2009 at 1:36 am
bj wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
December 14th, 2009 at 2:00 am
bj penn is the best at light heavyweight he had the balz to go up to gsp’s class not once but twice gsp is such a p@#$y he hasnt even done it once
December 14th, 2009 at 6:07 am
To ALL BJ haters, I just want to say…any great jitzu and wrestling fighter would be untouchable if you rub Vaseline ALL over your body! Especially against another jitzu fighter. Plain and simple, he cheated!! YOU BASTARDS ARE IDIOTS!!! GSP is a great fighter, but don’t talk smack about BJ when he was robbed by the Vaseline!! A rematch with no oily substance would be a better fight!!
December 14th, 2009 at 9:11 am
does anyone know wuts the deal with rampage fighting rashad. did i miss it or did one back out. cuz i see rashads fighting someone not sure cant remember
December 14th, 2009 at 10:57 am
Ludgier, he didn’t rub it ALL over his body, but I do agree that there needs to be a rematch, so one side or the other will finally shut up. Every BJ fan and every GSP fan should sign a contract that states that if there is BJ vs GSP III, everybody will finally shut up about the whole thing…
Ross, Rampage has retired from fighting to get involved in acting. He’s doing the A-Team movie. I’m sure once that comes out and it sucks, he’ll rejoin the UFC.
December 14th, 2009 at 2:51 pm
BJ is a lightweight, GSP is a welterweight. The difference is BJ fought at WW and was actually the WW champion. He even fought Leoto Machida at HW! (it was technically a HW fight since leoto came in at 215). GSP will never fight outside of the WW division since he KNOWS he wins only by cheer atheticism and NOT skill. GSP might be a good fighter but he will never be p4p anything in anyone what matter’s book. End of discution.
December 14th, 2009 at 11:27 pm
Wow
Just when you think someone might give BJ a tough fight he brings out another level.
Great Job BJ
December 14th, 2009 at 11:29 pm
Amazing that Diego was not able to raise a welt on the Champion. BJ is amazing.
December 14th, 2009 at 11:43 pm
Nuoz, the majority of sources who list the top 3 pound for pound fighters generally include GSP over BJ…
December 14th, 2009 at 11:49 pm
Nuoz, you know what pound for pound means, right? When BJ moved up to WW and had his ass handed to him by GSP when they were the same weight, it means GSP is a better p4p fighter you tool.
Cry ‘it isn’t his natural weight’ all you want, but when someone moves up a class, they are opening themselves up to that sort of criticism when they lose.
GSP destroyed Penn, and his record is stronger. What in the hell are you talking about then?
BTW, Penn is one of my favorite fighters, I’m not a heter. I just think you are full of BS.
December 14th, 2009 at 11:57 pm
GOOD FIGHT BJ – GSP STILL KICKED YOUR ASS UP AND DOWN THE STREET!
STAY IN THAT DIVISION WHERE YOU BELONG AND STAY SAFE………..
December 15th, 2009 at 5:43 am
all you ppl are tripping , he beat sanchez who is in no way shape or form in the same class as gsp. you obviously didnt see the same fight that i watched against st pierre total domination.
December 15th, 2009 at 7:10 am
sanchez got what he disrved!!! i hope he has that scare for the rest of his life to remind him that he got his ass kicked by BJ PENN he’s the best. hey sanchez whos saying yes now!
December 15th, 2009 at 8:26 am
Lawrence,Trev, you guys really need to find out what P4P means. Pound for pound is the term used in boxing, mixed martial arts, and other combat sports to describe a fighter’s value in relation to fighters of different weight classes. GSP hasn’t challenged anybody at any other weight classes, so NO GSP is not on my P4P list…and anyone who knows what P4P is, would agree with me. Right now, a true MMA P4P list would be kinda scarce with few fighters moving classes; BJ, Hendo, Anderson, Couture, Mousasi… no GSP though, he is comfortable keeping his record unblemished fighting in WW. SO, all you GSP nut-huggers need to stop throwing the P4P title next to his name, cause he’s not on a real P4P list. Aside from that, I think its time for a Penn-GSP rubber match, its a rubber match, because i will not recognize GSP as the winner of the first fight, the second fight, Grease aside Penn was still gassed after the first round, they didnt start greasing until the 3rd round or something right? Anyways, could BJ really handle a 3rd loss to GSP if the fight were to happen?
December 15th, 2009 at 8:59 am
Ya gotta wonder… if THIS BJ was the one who stepped into the octagon with GSP, would he have done better or possibly won?
December 15th, 2009 at 9:07 am
AJ, it’s actually you who has no idea what P4P stands for, sorry… And by putting Hendo and ESPECIALLY Couture on that list, you prove it. Couture is 17 – 10, he is not the best p4p anything, he is a fan favorite. And Trev is right, I’ve never seen a legitimate list that puts BJ above GSP, never.
December 15th, 2009 at 9:46 am
Drew, i understand perfectly what P4P is, but tell me, what record does GSP hold in other weight divisions, and you would need some serious proving ground to tell me how you could not consider Hendo on a P4P list but still put GSP or even Fedor on the list… men who have never stepped outside of their weight class. and this “legitimate” list of yours is created by people who use this stupid logic of “he’s won this many fights, he’s a P4P king” sorry my friend, but P4P requires a little more thinking than that but P4P is a ranking of you against others in other weight classes…something GSP has not done, and Couture, Hendo,Anderson,BJ have all done. But I would put Couture at the bottom of such a list.
December 15th, 2009 at 11:21 am
Made the trip to Memphis, had an awesome time at the FedEx Forum, but the fight with Penn and Sanchez was the absolute best part of whole experience. BJ Penn is the best lightweight fighter in the world. Go Penn !!!
December 15th, 2009 at 11:22 am
aj your idea of P4P is wrong, it has nothing to do with fighting in other weightclasses, it means that if everyone were the same weight, who would be the best fighter (who has the better skill set), although p4p arguments don’t really make any sense. Ie. Lesnar is a great fighter partially due to is size, so how does the p4p argument translate… Basically its a dumb thing to argue about and just wastes a whole bunch of space on message boards. True, if two people fight at the same weight, it doesn’t mean that the winner is necessarily the best p4p fighter because the person coming up in weight isn’t fighting at their natural weight so they are fighting the more difficult fight. That said, GSP is one of the most dominating fighters to ever enter the octagon, and considering the EXTREME ass whooping that Bj received at the hands of GSP, its safe to say that BJ is NOT top 3. You keep saying that you know what p4p means, but you don’t. You type out a definition that is just wrong. so please stop talking about it because its annoying.
December 15th, 2009 at 7:10 pm
Diego got served a straight up ass-whoopin!
He got ROCKED!
Diego you are pathetic!
December 15th, 2009 at 9:02 pm
Wow that cut is almost as big as his mouth! lol
December 16th, 2009 at 11:51 pm
Man, you drop-outs need to learn the difference between “dominate” and “dominant”. There’s some serious 3rd-grade level English being butchered up in here.
BJ is simply the best at this weight class. I’d love to see what Tyson Griffin or Frank Edgar could do. Not much, I figure, but it would definitely be more exciting than this fight.
I tip my hat to Diego for hanging in, though. He just had nothing to offer here. Too bad he had to witness bursting flesh 1st hand.
December 16th, 2009 at 11:59 pm
@ inmigrado: Amen, brother.
@ 007HEC: I can tell you are an ignorant genetic defect. At least GG can spell correctly and use correct grammar (plus, he’s right, unlike you). Go back to preschool and learn something useful, toolbag.
“Imma say it again”: IGNORANT. GENETIC. DEFECT.
December 17th, 2009 at 12:04 am
One more thing…
Lucas is correct about P4P, AJ. Example: if the average ant took on a human in an even P4P fight, the ant would win 100% of the time, because they are the strongest (or one of the strongest) creatures on Earth for their weight and size. It’s a relative thing, not comparative.
December 19th, 2009 at 1:35 pm
to everyone calling gsp a pussy for staying in his weight class is effing stupid. first of all why would a world famous piano player decide to instead train on a guitar for 3 months and play a concert with a guitar. do you get it? its completely different. GSP is all muscle. if he were to move up a weight class then he would have to put on muscle mass and take his time doing it. BJ is water weight. He has fought up to 205 against lyoto machida. He is awesome for being able to do that but just because he can doesnt mean he should. GSP still doesnt feel ready to leave his weight class. They are both awesome fighters. Just want to achieve different goals.
And whoever keeps saying GSP cheated stfu. he didnt cheat at all. there was no oil being put on him. You cant just get away with putting oil all over yourself. the nevada gaming commision would have stopped it or the ref would have done something if it wasnt right. Maybe he was just sweaty and BJ didnt train hard enough… ran out of the energy needed to take GSP down. Stop sucking BJs balls.
@AJ dont even bother posting anymore you are just plain retarded
December 21st, 2009 at 3:04 pm
i am both a bj and gsp fan the are like my top two. gsp won the first fight barely but made the nessecary adjustment after round one too squeak out the win. in fight two gsp did vaseleine himself and after round two the athletics commission told him to wipe it off. i don’t think that it played a factor in the fight and dana agrees. if they were to fight for a third time wich i don’t think they will. penn will have to keep that fight standing wich with gsp is impossible. furthermore when gsp is ready to step up to middle even anderson if he can’t keep it standing will have a hard time.
December 25th, 2009 at 10:20 am
Eyyo…i love Bj..but my man Gsp beat him twice yeah he did go to da hospital da first and still got da win..more props to GSP. dat vasaline shit dats gettin old..if he cheated he’s a G, cuzz he still walked with da win cheating live on tv Gsp is a a slick dude most b or prolly he owns half da UFC n he could get away with murder…lolz Bye Hataz!!!
December 27th, 2009 at 1:07 am
Well i was rooting for Diego because he was such a dominate lightweight in my eyes but after watching BJ handle him like that, hehe hes on a diffrent level compared to everyone in that weight class.Same with GSP. His up coming fight with Dan hardy is just going to show you that no one in welter can stop him just like no one in the lightweight can stop BJ
And have any of you guys heard they are trying to accuse GSP of cheating? i heard they are because there are claims that he puts some sorta oil (Not Vaseline its something else) on his gloves to burn the other fighters eyes? Someone tell me if this is true or not.
January 1st, 2010 at 7:18 pm
I get a laugh out of all of you people on here. I have a 2nd Degree blackbelt in taekwondo, A brown belt in jiujitsu, and a Black belt in combat hapkido. What do you guys actually know about the mechanics of fighting (other than what joe rogan tells you) ? Bj is good, but as you saw GSP made short work of him by keeping his jab at bay IE Keeping him against the fence. I love how people say that GSP is a cheater. I have personally watched this guy train face to face and hes a machine. Its so easy to talk shit about someone and for a bandwagon of haters to jump on and spread that shit. I believe BJ is talented, but there are a number of good contenders that could take him off his game. I remain a really big fan of Joe Stevenson keep your eye out for him in the next little bit. He has a tendancy to stand up with people and exchange and his stand up skills are lacking. I think stevenson could prove to be very dangerous for BJ in the future if he decides to utilize his superior judo wrestling and jiujitsu skills.
January 28th, 2010 at 8:04 am
Oh my god! i cannot believe this topic about GSP/Penn is still going on! BJ just put on the fight of his career and demolished the #1 ranked contender at Lw who was a ranked contender at WW before he made the move down. WTF? I heard this BS in many of forums, fact is..NO ONE can judge who is better (Penn or GSP) by the 2 fights they were in. Thats just plain stupid! Let me ask who this… If GSP had to cut weight to fight BJ at 155 (which I highly doubt he would be able to do healthy wise), who you think GSp would stand a chance? F*** no! GSP would be too weak by the weight loss and would lose his strength. GSP did not beat BJ by skill. He plainly used his size and bully’d BJ around the ring. And for whoever said that BJ has no skill over GSP is an idiot! BJ has way better jits and boxing! GSP has way better wrestling. Same can be said for Mir and Lesnar! Mir is all around a better fighter, Lesnar just has the size and strength. You honestly think Brock would win Couture, Mir, Nog if he wasn’t that damn bigger then them? hahaha thats what I thought…well same goes for GSP!
BJ’s track record is much more impressive that GSP. I mean f*** GSP got laid out by Serra for crying out loud! He was a NOBODY! would be no different if BJ got laid out by Wiman or Cole Miller etc…BJ hasn’t lost in 8 years at LW, lets see if GSP can do that! oops he already lost twice at WW.
