Espelho, yes very true, Leites did not have an answer for Silva. I believe it was his fault. Instead of running away and pulling guard, he might need to learn how to clinch and get the guy against the cage. Kind of like how Randy Couture is able to continuously take people down.
I think Demian Maia vs. Anderson Silva will be a better match.

GSP would be a good fight for Anderson but I think Anderson’s height and reach advantage would be too much for him. I think it would turn out to be similar to the Nick Diaz vs. Frank Shamrock fight last week.

It’s a quite boring fight.. But Silva take that chance to Knock-out his Oppenent. They both tactician. But in very game there’s always a winner… SILVA Rules….

DaeronX, I see no one has made a comment about your Canadians (which you cannot even spell) can’t appreciate a good fight most likely because your stupidity doesn’t deserve a response but I cant resists. First I assume you are an American due to your ignorant attitude thinking you are the superior race and if someone doesn’t agree with you they are in the wrong. (Remember that war you started in the Middle East and cursed Canada for not jumping in immediately because the US thought is was the right thing to do. Maybe we were right? And on that note when did you join World War 2, that one was an obvious one that needed to be fought and you were years late) Anyway, back to the topic, if this fight was in the US there would have been more boo’s than what you heard here. Canada has respect for others but wanted to see a better show. Not like some who burn others flags or boo during another country’s anthem. You should look at yourself before you point fingers at others.

My opinion of the fight: Silva has excellent ground defense and Leites has excellent stand up defense so you saw a very defensive fight with little effective offence on either side. Not much either fighter can change about that during the fight.

Leites was holding back a lot, silva loves countering, he couldnt counter since leites was not hitting

Silva didn’t deserve all the booing. He was actually apologetic for the people’s ungratefulness. Fuck the people. It was a good fight. One-sided and not explosive, but a good fight. Not every good fight is clipshow material.

I’m choked that Anderson even apologized to those pieces of shit. They don’t deserve to watch him fight. GSP would get worked by him, he’s still the best in the UFC hands down. Silva didn’t deserve the booing, he put on a great fight. Leites really really needs to improve his wrestling. Period. Silva does have great takedown defense, but not world class (as in the Dan Henderson fight). Silva is the best striker in MMA though.

Exeter,your crazy for thinking Silva could beat GSP. Even though we prob wouldnt see the fight cuz GSP walks around at 185 and would have a significant height and weight disadvantage that would prob cost him the fight he would win if silva made the cut instead of him putting on the pounds.

GSP is the best wrestler, argueably, in MMA today. He would take Silva down and although Silva is a black belt GSP’s top skills would be too much (as seen in his destruction of BJ Penn, also a black belt) he would mount and finish with strikes, easy.
