Lesnar dominated in the early match and lost to negligence. I would like to see him taking on Mir once again, finishing the full match. Lesnar will no doubt be a rising star in MMA.

lasnar and sylvia would be cool but if lesnar didnt get submitted he would have won that fight easily but no doubt mir is a really good fighter

He Got Too Cocky. He Made a mistake when he stood up and Mir did a good move. Someone forgot to tell him and Mir isn’t following a script.

this was a very good match. Lesner is a beast. He lost because he got cocky.

If i could tell Lesner one thing it would be this. HEY ITS NOT SCRIPTED ANYMORE!

Brock would have killed Frank if he had slowed down and fought a smart fight instead of a “street” fight. You will see lots more of Lesnar!

Brock Lesnar is “the next big thing”… “for me to poop on” he needed to fight a less experienced fighter on his debut.now his ufc record is tainted with a loss he might as well go to tna or wwe before his name and reputation get tarnished by more losses and his career come to an end like Ken Shamrock’s did. what a joke!!! he had the guy he should have just sacrificed his ankle and try to fight some more but he pussied out like a bitch!!! I hope he learned not to talk so much shit before the fight!!!that overhyped albino gorilla should go back to pro wrestling maybe he can give back to the sport that gave him a name instead of shitting on it every chance he gets!!! I bet stone cold Steve Austin had a good time watching that because finally someone teaches brock to respect a sport before he goes into it.

I think Brock has been given too much credit for this fight, sure he looked like a very strong striker but he wasnt overly accurate with it. I dont think he could have won that fight given another 3 attempts.

Mir is the more experienced and able fighter with no exception

    13. mike Says:
      February 24th, 2008 at 1:28 pm

10seconds = Mir is in trouble

Mir moves his head so that the strikes are hitting him CLOSE to the back of the head, he is keeping the back of his head to Brock’s strikes (a tactic UFC fighters use often when they are overwhelmed)

16 seconds = official saves Mir (this is entertainment after all and cant have the match end in 20 seconds)

Mir is down again, Brock is a little confused because he is fighting the ref and mir = stand and leg lock.

UFC is turning into “win by rules’ buy allowing this type of rule abuse UFC is no better than a olimpic boxing match.

he loked stong but pussied out wat a bitch. if he would have reveiwed mir a little he might of known to take him standing.

To all the Lesnar haters out there are you serious. Watch Frank Mir’s expression after the fight. That is what i call i just won the lottery face. No reason at all Lesnar should have been pulled the hammer fist to the back of the head was complete accident. Truth be told if ref wouldnt have pulled lesnar off mir that fight would have been over in another 5 to 10 seconds. Get real wrestling is scripted but in no way does that take away from any of Lesnars skills the guy hasnt wrestled in what 5 to 7 years. Get over it I guarantee Lesnar will be a champion in ufc

THAT WAS THE BIGGEST AMOUNT OF BULL $H!T THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN BROCK WON THAT FIGHT HANDS DOWN AND I DON’T EVEN LIKE WWE ANYMORE!!

bleh, for one he took it too him and if it wasn’t for that idiotic call Brook might have one. Brock needs to work on his conditioning and his tech. Brock would have defiantly lost by the second round, his breathing is all fucked.

How are you going to say he was going to gas? The guy was a real stud in real wrestling..just happens WWE was his profession. If you know anything about wrestlers they have tremendous endurance/work ethic. Brock looked pretty damn good other than the tendency to leave shit open for submissions…some more experience is all he needs.

    19. BiggC Says:
      February 29th, 2008 at 8:08 am

Dood Lesnar was pounding away on that biatch..LOL! Yeah I think Lesnar would have won that no doubt he just didn’t see that leg lock coming to him.

    20. Doc Holliday Says:
      February 29th, 2008 at 8:15 am

Lesnar dominated early match, we know that. The match only lasted 1:30. So the whole thing was “early.”

Lesnar got Mir to the ground = Ground and Pound

Mir took too many hits = Move back of head towards attacks

Referee uses “time out” = Mir rests for a minute

Lesnar gets Mir to the ground again = Mir in trouble

Lesnar stands = Vulnerable to Jujitsu.

Now lets understand, that Lesnar stood up, not because he was getting cocky, but because he didn’t know what else to do.

Lesnar is a newbie, and so far his tactics are Ground & Pound. Nothing else.

He needs a little more experience. If he were to research Mir a little more, he would have been able to finish him off no problem.

      Thoughts:
Work on your ground submissions. Reversing, evading, take-downs.

    21. Doc Holliday Says:
      February 29th, 2008 at 8:21 am

Also, to everyone who thought that was an ankle lock, you’re mistaken.

That was a knee lock. Any more pressure and the knee could have popped the opposite direction of what it’s supposed to; preventing him from walking the same (or performing in the UFC) ever again.

Go ahead and get yourself in one of those, and not tap out. You might not be a pussy, but you’ll be fucked up the rest of your life.

Brock should’ve won if it wasn’t for that stupid referee who helped Frank when he was getting pound !

ohhh shit mirr got his ass fucking ripped out his mouth, and then brock got caught.. that should not have been a point off.. the faggot turtled!!

Lesner needs about 2 to 3 more years of training and a good submission guy to work him to a mesh. Mir is a guy who is on his way out. To call this a success for him is bogus. I don’t see either of them beating a guy call Kimbo Slice. Now when Dana White can get him into the Heavywieght mix then I’ll pay attention. But to me this fight was a publicity stunt for the ratings more so than for the fans.

    25. Vik Vega Says:
      March 3rd, 2008 at 7:42 pm

You are idiots, Brock fights like a goon. He bullied Mir to the ground Mir stayed calm, Brock made a mistake and hit Mir in the back of the head (Great move by Mir) and the ref DID HIS JOB! Next Brock took him down and Mir again remained calm and looked for a submission…and AGAIN Lesnar made a stupid mistake….Mir would win again, and again, and again…And Brock isn’t EVER going to be a champ or even a contender, He is decent but WAY to old to start now….Vince McMahon and the WWE laugh, Ziggy Wolfe and The Minnesota Vikings laugh, and now Dana White and the UFClaugh. Maybe he can beat a light heavywieght…nah…Give it up chump

    26. Btrice Says:
      March 4th, 2008 at 9:55 am

Vik Vega is the only person who really saw the fight and doesnt just ride Brock Lesnar. He is just a big joke. Either way he would have got caught in a submission. The ref didnt give anyone the fight.

Mir is the man. What he did is what the UFC is all about. One mistake can cost you the fight. Frank Mir looked good. He came in fit, the best he has looked since his return to the Octagon.
Watch out for Mir. He has been rejuvenated by this win and will be very tough to beat in the near future no matter who they put in front of him.
Brock will be OK. Everyone will run from him until he loses a bit of
